View Full Version : Stephen Curry fakes Birdman out of his shoes

The rookie put a killer ball fake on Chris "Birdman" Andersen last night in the otherwise abominable Warriors-Nuggets game on TNT.

Here's the video: http://blogs.uscannenberg.org/neontommy_sports/2010/02/stephen-curry-makes-fool-of-th.html

This kid is good.

Ridiculous move.

Since the turn of the year the guy has been straight out balling... He's averaging 21.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 6.3 apg and 1.8 spg on 49% shooting. He's pushing Tyreke close for ROY honors in my opinion...

Heck yea, Stephen representing his home city Charlotte well out in Oakland! Too bad the Bobcats didn't draft him! Felton hasn't been the same with Jackson! Oh well GS got him and he will be a very good one!

Stephen Curry can be better than Monta Ellis.
They should've made the deal with Memphis, but this isn't a thread about that.

That was a SICKASS crossover. I was like, 'wtfff' after he did it the 2nd time, LMAO.

Im sure anyone can fake someone out like that if they are allowed to both double dribble and travel on the same play

There was no double dribble on that play but he did lift his pivot foot off the ground ever so slightly at the end. But you're allowed 3 steps in the NBA.

Thabeet was just sent to the D-League so its basically just deciding between Mayo and Ellis. I think Golden State might of made the right decision.

That was sick. Rondo is just nice in general. Curry crossed him first though, let him recover, and then continued to toy with him. Either way, both defenders got embarrassed.

Actually it was a walk before the pivot.
He'll get away with it plenty throughout his career. The boy's an electric scorer.

Stop acting ignorant like Rondo came up with the move and give credit where its due. I cant stand biased fans..coming on here having to suck off your own team's players cause he did it earlier.

Breaking News:

Getting the Birdman to bite on a shot fake is not exactly an All-Star accomplishment.

---------------------

That said, in all seriousness, it was a sweet move, and the above comment is not to take anything away from Curry, who had an outstanding game.

But even I could get Andersen leaping in the air with a head fake. And I don't play basketball.

You know.. it would make more sense if you weren't a Nuggets fan. That being said, fans defend their own team. One would call that being bias, but whatever.

Fans criticize their own players all the time. And the biggest knock Nuggets fans have on Birdman is that he always bites on head fakes. Doesn't mean we don't like or support him, it's just frustrating as hell because every team in the league knows how easy it is to burn him, and he never seems to learn.

There's a difference between not defending your team and not being blind to the faults it really does have.
