Has Lebron already had a better career than Dirk and Iverson?

Now if he wins another MVP this year and title, I think it will be pretty much on point that he has had the better career.

But at the present moment has he had a better career than they have?

No, because he didn't win a game in the finals lol

The only way to accurately measure this is to measure careers. Ie. If all three retire right now, who's got the most achievements? They all have MVP's, they all have made the finals...

So who has more points, rebounds, assists, steals. It ain't Lebron, so he hasn't had the better career.

I know everyone loves LBJ, and his time is coming. He isn't even in his prime yet. Let him get there...

All 3 of them have left a significant mark on the game. If they all retired today, I'd have to say they're all pretty even. Dirk the best NBA player from Europe, AI - pound for pound the best player ever, and LBJ the man child and future GOAT. When its all said an done though, LeBron will have had a much better career than 2 guys who had very good careers themselves.

Iverson has everything Lebron has, with a game won in the Finals, 3 more scoring titles and a rookie challenge MVP... You could argue Dirk, but it would be stupid to argue AI.

Lebron is having a Iverson type of career but so far, not right now no

They all have the same number of MVP, but I don't see how Lebron could have a better career when he has played less games, scored less points.
Also, honestly, Lebron is playing in a league which is not as great as it was when Dirk and AI were grinding it out.

How many games do you think a Lebron 76er -led team would fair against the Shaq and Kobe Lakers of 2001? Probably a sweep.

The 07 Spurs swept his Cavs, so the 01 Lakers would abolish any record of his Finals trip.

AI single handedly gave the Lakers their first postseason loss with 48 huge pts to lead his lowly Sixers to a road win in LA. That was one of the best single game performances in NBA Finals history... In comparison, Lebron couldn't score 25 pts against the Spurs in 07.

Lebron undoubtedly will eventually end up with a better career with both, but at this point he has done nothing that dirk and A.I. haven't done. I think a career should be based on champioships and mvps. All three have MVPs and each have been to the finals and been unsuccesful. If you look deep into it Lebron hasnt even won a game in the finals while the other 2 have.

Hell yeah!If you look at the overall picture then I say yes.If you look at the endorsements & all the success he's had on the court then the answer is yes without a doubt.

Everyone needs to get off lebrons nuts Iverson is 17th all time in career points. When lebron gets into that category then we can start the talk. I cant stand this Bron is the best at everything in basketball ever what has he done that is so amazing to just bypass every great player to play the game. Obviously you all just started watching basketball and jumped on the first wagon you saw passing you by. I think lebron is a great player but come on stop with these ridiculous arguments all of you lebron D@#k riders are disgracing the greats.

Sorry, after watching Iverson for many years, and the different aspects of their games, I can't say Lebron has had a better career quite yet.

No. That is completely ridiculous to say that. They don't even play the same positions. Dirk is a way better shooter than LeBron and always will be. Iverson is a speedy scoring guard. LBJ is going to have a better career than them no question. You can't compare them.

When LBJ retires, then we will know, he will probably go down in history as one of the best players to ever play the game. He hasn't even hit his prime yet. But Dirk and Iverson are two very special players. Dirk is the best euro player to ever play in the NBA and will go down in history as the best, no Laker fans it won't be Gasol or the Machine. lol

Obviously when all is said and done, he will have. Right now, no. Dirk and AI have done it longer. If he doesn't win a ring this year, he'll slide down the pole a bit.
If he wins it this year, then he moves ahead.

Not an accurate measure at all. What does Dirk being 7 feet or Iverson being 6 feet tall have anything to do with how good their careers are?

Dirk is the only one who has a decent argument, Bron has clearly surpassed AI. Reached a higher level of play, consistently got more out of his teams, and his MVP was actually legit.

Bruno

No. They've all won regular season MVP's, but Iverson and Dirk have won games in their finals appearances- LeBron was swept.

In terms of statistical totals, Iverson and Dirk still dominate LeBron, as they should- they've been playing since the 90's.

Not until he wins a title, or another league MVP, or the statistical totals to match them, will he have had a better career.

Lebron not winning a championship keeps his career slightly under Dirk and AI for now.

I'd say its close at the least. No doubt in anyone's mind that Lebron will far surpass both when all is said and done (assuming no injuries or anything of that nature)... I'd estimate a top 6 to be honest.

If you say after this season (which he will win MVP), I will have to say that yes Lebron has surpassed both in terms of who has been a better player for the career... so yes. I believe he has surpassed both Dirk and Iverson.

The fact that list doesn't have Dirk at a 1 makes it irrelevant.

LeBron so far has a unfinished AI career, AI has everything he has as of right now except more scoring titles. Same amount of NBA and ALl-star MVP's. AI single handed gave Lakers their only postseason lost, with his huge 48 pt game, LeBron went to the finals with no help as well, but didnt win even 1 game, and hasnt gotten back with all the help he gets every year increasingly. (he gets more help every year that goes by)

I dont think LeBron has had a better career already than both of them, but maybe soon.

I really get tired of all the "Is Lebron the greatest ever?", "Is Lebron better than this great?".

Lebron is way overhyped. He hasn't had a better career than Dirk or AI.

He won't win a Finals with the team he has now, and you can quote me on that. There are more complete teams out there (LA, Denver, Dallas). I wouldn't be shocked if they made it there, but thats where it ends. The last two times Cleveland was so "great" they got shitted on in the Finals, and they won one game against Orlando last year. Come playoff time, they can't play with the big boys.

+1 except for the AI part. Zeke is pound for pound the best. Right now No, but when Brick retires, he will be.

AI changed the game of basketball. AI has more career accomplishments and accolades. You can't even make an argument to compare him to Iverson at this stage.
