do you guys think kobe can make it back into the talks of mvp if he just flat out dominates the rest of the season and the lakers take control of the best record in the nba?

No... And MVP thread anyone?

Kobe and LeBron are the most dominant players in the league at their posisition, and they are playing on the two teams with the best record, so both have a shot at MVP naturally.

I would even start talking about Durant for MVP ahead of Kobe just because of the Injuries. If he was healthy I would say him and Lebron 1,2 flip a coin. Because the team is playing so well without him I don't see how you can make a case for Kobe for most valuable. They could possibly still get to the championship with or without him if they had to.

Probably not. The season is over 2/3 of the way done. He's dug himself a big hole, or LeBron has created him a huge one to dig out of...however you want to look at it.

It's going to take an epic Cavs collapse, and like a 22-4 finish for the Lakers, along with huge numbers, for him to have a chance.

Losing tonight to the Grizzlies would be a bad start...
