The Sacramento Kings have waived Larry Hughes.

Hughes was acquired as part of the three-team deal involving Houston and New York last week.

He did come into his own on that Sixers team Larry Brown coached... pretty sure he'll sign there

Yeah Charlotte would be a team, they lost their main bench scorer Flip Murray so they need some offense off the pine.

I would love it for Hughes to come to Charlotte! We need depth at Point Guard!

If he is on his ****:

- Lakers (perfect triangle point and actually ran some of the sets in Washington)
- Spurs (need a big, athletic, 2 way swingman)
- Bobcats (Larry Brown)
- Wizards (knows the city, organization, and Howard is out)
- Celtics (Daniels and Tony aren't known for staying healthy)
- Heat (Can use whatever help they can get)
- Jazz (Fill Brewer's shoes for less)
- Mavs (still lack a legit SG)

Ruin their chemistry so Raps got less to worry about.

Right, does anyone remember when he was last effective?

NO!

Nobody should want this guy... He even came out a couple of seasons ago and said he wasn't interested in winning, just playing... Awful attitude.

Hell, he's so bad someone even made this website: Hey Larry Hughes, Please Stop Taking So Many Bad Shots (http://heylarryhughespleasestoptakingsomanybadshots.com/)

Oh yeah, a vet minimum player is going to ruin a team's chemistry. Its not like they could cut him or anything.

Things didn't work out with him too well in Cleveland last time, but all the same, I still think it might be a good idea for them to pick him up. He has a little more size than West and if he doesn't work out they will only be paying less than half of the veteran minimum.

He's got some game and is worth a shot I think. Most othr contenders have a solid shooting guard, and the Cavs are the only team hurting at that position and in need of options (Gibson is only 6'2, West has been listed as 6'3 or 6'4 and Mo Williams is 6'3, so they don't have any big bodies to throw on shooting guards on the defensive end- though Hughes is not known for his defence he has lead the league in steals).

He is not welcome in Chicago.

I think he could still be useful as a vet min pick up. In a niche role, he is a good defender, decent long-distance shooter, run the floor and make plays.

I could see him in either Charlotte, Washington, or Cleveland. I wouldn't mind having him coming off the bench especially at the veteran minimum.

I think when he said this he was trying to get across that though the Knicks were losing, he wasn't going try to get a buy-out or trade, but accept the situation and be happy doing what he loves. You may have taken this out of context. Its like when a rookie comes into the league and is playing for a $#!T team, they say they are happy jsut to be competing in the NBA.

No man, I remember when his brother died during the 2006 playoffs he said in an interview it put his life into perspective, and it was no longer about winning or losing just playing the sport he loves, which is fair enough.

I just don't think he has the right attitude for a contending team.

He has a broken hand or thumb or wutever and will be out a minimum of 4 wks

I really don't see him going to a contendor. Maybe to a team trying to stay in the playoffs. Makes sense for the Bobcats or maybe Miami.

But at the end of the day, he won't be helping anyone.

I would have only hated him at like an 8 out of 10 on a scale of hateness. But he was also a locker room distraction *****ing about playing time and stuff which is why he was like a 9.5 out of 10.

YES.

He brings nothing but bricks... At least Fish has a locker room presence, is a well respected guy and has a ton of experience.

Larry Hughes fails.

Ya, this guy was ok for a couple years in Washington, heck I'll even give him props for a good season in Cleveland, hasn't really been the same since his brother passed away. I've always liked his game though, solid guy

Man, remember the Wiz' backcourt that year?

Gilbert put up 26/5/5 with 1.7 steals and Hughes had 22/6/5 with 3 steals.

I used to really like this guy. But mark my words, he will not go to a contender. COntenders are in the position they are in because of the players on their team along with the chemistry, so why would the Lakers, or Cavaliers risk that team chemisrty when they're already in position.

What do you consider being OK in Cleveland?

Cleveland screwed up their last 4 seasons by giving Hughes that contract to the point they're finally going to make amends for that mistake in 2010 if LeBron stays.

Hughes didnt fit next to LeBron at all.

Lakers are in need of a towel distributor since sasha is hurt. Hughes could shine better than the machine in that role...plus we could have him for less

Larry would miss people when tossing them towels then probably break his finger/hand and be on the DL from being a towel boy.

Yup. Let the Warriors get Larry. Then over pay him and let him ruin your team even more. Then hopefully Morrow would want out since Hughes is taking Morrow's place, therefore, Morrow would sign with another team. Excellent, perhaps?
