Since the trade, the Mavericks have gone 3-1, losing the first game (no practice with new players). Jason Kidd seems to be playing with a lot of energy and putting up some insane stats:

Last 3 Games:

Miami Heat (29-27)
FG: 5/8 .625, FT: 8/9 .889, 3PM: 3, REB: 5, AST: 11, STL: 3, BLK: 1, PTS: 21

Orlando Magic (37-18)
FG: 4/8 .500, FT: 0/0 .000, 3PM: 2, REB: 8, AST: 8, STL: 4, BLK: 0, PTS: 10

Phoenix Suns (32-22)
FG: 6/11 .545, FT: 2/2 1.00, 3PM: 4, REB: 7, AST: 10, STL: 7, BLK: 0, PTS: 18

Last 3 Games Average:
FG: 15/27 .555, FT: 10/11 .909, 3PM: 3, REB: 6.7, AST: 9.7, STL: 4.7, BLK: 0.3, PTS: 16.3

Those are some pretty crazy numbers for a soon-to-be 37 year old (March 23rd) PG. Do you think that because of the trade Kidd will continue to produce like this? Will he get better numbers the more the team starts to gel? Will the energy fade away?

***UPDATE***
2/26/10 @ Atlanta - FT: 7/18 389., FT: 1/2 500., 3PM: 4, REB: 16, AST: 17, STL: 2, BLK: 0, PTS: 19

***Important-to-Note*** If Kidd wasn't the smartest PG in the game today and not have ran into Atlanta's Coach Woodson, the Mavs would have lost by 1 point, instead, it allowed Nowitzki to shoot and make a free throw (technical foul) that ultimately tied them up and to go into overtime and win it all.

He's definitely inspired of his new toys. Gotta love those steals

Have you not followed Kidd's career at all? He does these kinds of things from time to time, regardless of age. Done it his whole career.

Yeah this is nothing new at all for J. Kidd. It is surprising he can still do it at such an age but thats he is one of the best to ever play the PG spot.

It's the experienced Kidd, and he also has very good players around him..better than when he played for NJ.

On the year Kidd is averagine nearly 10 ppg, 9.2 apg, 5.2 rpg, 2 spg, .6 bpg, 42% from behind the arc, 81% from the FT line, and only 2.3 TO's per game.

Very impressive at 36.

i don't think he can keep it up for the remainder of the year. Give him a week and his numbers will be back to normal.

Jason Kidd just put up video game numbers against the Atlanta Hawks.

19 pts, 16 reb, 17 ast, 2 stl, 4 3-ptm....

So, I'm curious... 57%+ voted his stats would decline. Do you have a prediction when this might be?

Those numbers are rediculous.
