Now that the deadline has passed and with the way the Wiz have shaken things up roster wise. Do you guys think that they are a better team than before? I must say as PREMATURE as it is it definitely looks like it.

too early to tell but if thornton gets consistent minutes and blatche can play to his potential, then they could be as good but replacing haywood will be hard.

They aren't better now than they were before in the short term...but they definitely made the right decision to get rid of who they got ride of. Long term, this was a great trade deadline for them.

Looking at the Wizards on paper they looked prime to make a serious improvement over the next 2 to 3 years. IF Arenas comes back to a shadow of his former self i believe that they can really make some noise in the East.

They're better off buying him out than hoping he can return. Even when 100%, dude isn't a winner.

For the sake a arguement if you pair Gilbert with a PROVEN winner like TIM. Do you think he is capable of playing Parkers role? I personally don't think he was suited to be a "franchise" player.

No. I don't think he can/would accept a TP role.

But would he accept a TP roll? For when he craps in his teammates' shoes?

I agree with this.

Blatche has really stepped up as has Thornton and Foye, but who knows if any of those guys stay. For this season they won't be better, but they will be for sure down the line.

I like their young talent, i've said it before though... what this team desperately needs is a leader.

Too many young guys, need a Vet who can help lead them.

With Arenas there next year do you think Foye should be given the nod as the starter along side him or as a reserve. I love his game but IMO he will be better suited to back up Gil. Which sucks!

I don't think they are at all; they might be playing hard now..a new team with something to prove..but compare them to the same team after 2 years of playing together, they might be absolutely crap.

No way they are a better team now. Though Josh Howard is revitalized and they can build the team around Arenas and Howard. Right now I wouldn't say they are better but they have a few nice building blocks to make a run in the next 2 years or so....
