8.Portland 32 25

9.Houston 28 25

10.New Orleans 29 26

11.Memphis 27 27

Assuming that none of 1-7 seed teams will go down, who do u think will take the 8th and last spot and play probably against Lakers.

I'm going with the Blazers.

I'm going to say Rockets because Roy will probably shut it down for the season.

And the Rockets just got Kevin Martin who is perfect for their system.

Hard to say how the Rockets are going to turn out but I still like Memphis and Portland. Portland has the best chance aginst LA.

Houston with Martin could be dangerous. I don't think Roy is close to 100% - should just shut it down for the year.

teams fighting will be going for a sweep against the lakers. at least they get some money for playoff games

The Blazers are the most talented and, if healthy, they'd be at around the 3rd or 4th seed.

But they have soo many injuries, if Roy goes down for another ten games then they won't keep the 8th spot, if he can get healthy they'll keep it.

And to those that say the Blazers matchup or will have the best chance to beat the Lakers are kidding themselves. Not this year, with injuries to Roy, Oden, Przyzbilla... No way. They'd get rocked in a 7 game series with the Lakers this year.

And this is coming from a major Blazer fan, but a realistic one...

Didn't the Lakers almost get beat by the Rockets last year? Any team can beat any team on any given day (well... ok except the Nets). I'm going with the Rockets, because it would be dumb if Roy didn't shut it down. He should just get better for next year.

Obviously I want Memphis, but I think it will be New Orleans.

I say the Grizz. I hope it's them. Love the underdogs/small market teams.

I think the opposite, we'll be close but Memphis takes it.

i want the rockets too miss out honestly. get into the lottery and even if we end up with the 14th pick, thats better than around 18-20, especially with morey's amazing draft track record

I'll take a playoff spot in a heartbeat over counting on our brilliant FO to get a good pick and use it wisely......so keep on playing hard STARTERS.....you might make history!

Grizz won't make it, they're too inconsistent. Rockets maybe better, maybe worse. I say worse, because they traded their best big in Landry, and really a lot of weight has to go on Martin for scoring 18-20 points a game. I think the Rockets get in, Blazers out.

If Kevin Martin, Jared Jeffries, and Jordan Hill mesh well with their new team, I could see the Rockets making it. Especially if Brandon Roy doesn't get healthy soon.

If CP3 was healthy i would have said Hornets. Collison is great but he is making too many turnovers. Btw,what the hell happened to Memphis?

Iono I just think in crunch time...teams will start to show their true colors. Grizzlies realize that their the grizzlies lol. And the rockets realize they dont have Yao.

Iono whats going on with Brandon Roy, but if he's fine and playing then the Blazers got it in the bag.

If not, then I say Hornets. They are only two games out the playoffs and been without their ELITE BEST PG IN THE LEAGUE star for majority of the season. Once, Paul comes back....which should be in like 2 weeks. They could make a run at it. You never question that capabilities of ELITE players like Chris Paul

with the additons we made...and the experience of battier, brooks, scola and hayes(by that i mean the 22 game win streak) houston should get it only because i highly doubt roy playsthis season.

I can't see them both get in. Thunder and Suns are on fire. And Spurs are Spurs.:eyebrow:

I'll take Memphis for the 8th spot. Portland is depleted by injuries. NO will sink over the coming weeks with the injury to CP3. Houston will realize that they didn't get what they thought they got in Kevin Martin. (3 for 16 and 14 pts vs. the lowly Pacers?)

Damn, you know you have good competition when 3 out of 4 good teams wont make it... I can see any of them making it... Memphis definitely wants to make a statement... Houston has got talent out the ***, but they don't have Yao... Portland might not due to the fact that this season has been plagued by injuries for them, and The Hornets need CP3 to do anything... Collison is doing his damn thing though.
