Latest: Amare is staying in Phoenix. Last minute bid failed. Sarver, Kerr, Stoudemire & agent meeting for dinner tonight to calm waters.

Like thats going to work...

How many times can you threaten to trade a guy before he finally leaves on his own?

Suns/Amare have one of the weirdest relationships I've seen in sports.

Im sure the bill for dinner tonight will be over $1,000 dollars.

This.

Threaten to trade one of your Franchise cornerstones for 2 years, and try to smooth things over with an expensive meal.

They're going to look stupid when Amare leaves for Miami.

I wonder who it was...?

It was me. I have a big game at the Y tonight and thought he might help me win. 2 kegs of Fat Tire and a lifetime supply of walleye didn't get it done, tho.

Phoenix is so stupid. Should have gotten some picks... now he's just going to walk and what do they win? NOTHING.

You don't give, you don't get.
Miami didn't offer Beasley. So there's nothing they would have given us that would make us better for the future.
The Cavs had Hickson who will never be near Amar'e's level. Why trade him for nothing?
They're better off taking a shot at resigning him this offseason.

Not if he is going to Miami, they don't need a S&T and don't really have anyone to trade in the offseason.

Rea l G M takes legit links and puts them in one location. Maybe 5% of their articles are directly from Rea l GM

If Adande confirmed it, then obviously they were accurate anyway

It doesn't matter what team wants him. Not a guarantee that they'll want him for max years, but the Suns could offer the extra year by doing the sign and trade.
If we don't get anything for him and he bolts, then it sucks, but o well. There's nothing that was speculated that would make this team regret not pulling the trigger.

I think amar'e will walk at the end of the season. the suns organization continues to prove that they can't decide between winning and saving money.

Suns screwed up bigtime, unless they somehow get Amar'e to resign, which i doubt. He's gonna walk for nothing now. This Suns organization is really weird, if you look at the players they could've kept, Rondo, Joe Johnson, Shawn Marion. They looked to be on the verge of contending for 5-6 years. But now Amar'e walks, and they could've at least gotten picks, or even that Iggy Dalaembert deal seemed really good for them. I don't know team is messed, poor Nash.
