I was seriously thinking about this lately and I honestly don't think that he will, but I also don't think he can't. I realized this when I looked down at my LeBron soldier shoes in religion class and seen the lebron logo with the L23 and the crown. I thought about his contract with Nike and how I doubt that they will let him change it. Also on the inside part of the shoe there is a 2 on the left and a 3 on the right. I don't see Nike changing these styles on his shoes. I have a lot of lebron shoes and all of them have his logo and the 2 and 3. I can't see how nike would allow this.

What do you guys think?

He said it for publicity. He just wants attention.

That's definitely what it is. When you're a bum like LeBron, you say or do anything for attention. You = FAIL

He's going to change it.

It means more jersey sells for him. Which means more money.

It's not that hard to figure out.

You're right, LeBron is so humble and hates any attention direct towards him. And that's why you never see LeBron doing any commercials.

Wade sold his Miami house this week, so the writing's on the wall....

For LeBron, D-Wade, and Bosh to move into one apartment, three's company style!

That is why he is in the dunk contest tomorrow, right?

I think he will change it when he goes to a different team, does not want to bring anything from Cleveland with him when he goes to another team.

Ya, like most people said, he won't change his number.

Alot of people from the NBA said they should change there jersey if they had #23, right after MJ got inducted into the hall of fame.

Now there's no talk, so Lebron would probably back down.

You guys, he's obviously a man of his word. I mean, he has never publicly come out and say one thing and back out right?

Nike wouldn't let him do it??????? They would welcome the change. Now everyone wants to get the new LBJ #6 jersey, the new kicks, and the rest of the merchandise. What do you think aided Kobes climb back to the top after Denver? His success on the court drove people to wear Kobe gear, but they had his #8 jersey. Others looked around a saw the #24 jersey, knowing that it was a recent purchase. His marketability soared.
