Charles barkley once again says he wants to be a GM. I really think he will very soon actually. Question is, do you guys think he will be a good GM?

IMO, I think he will try and make blockbuster moves and will have the balls to do so unlike many GM's (John Paxson)

Cant be as bad as Jordan

He'd be worse than Jordan.

And just imagine if he won Alabama's governor election.

The Nets are hiring...

Barkley doesn't seem like he has the patience to let a team grow and learn for a few years. Its one thing to analyze what a team SHOULD do, its another to actually do it.

No he does not have the best player analysis now so a GM wouldn't be a good idea, entertaining though

I see him as an aggressive GM.

Trying for blockbusters and caring more about getting better players more than doing things like saving money or for the future.

I'm not sure if he would be good though.

Watch him on TNT and that should answer your question. He said last night that the Magic are the best in the East cause they can make threes. The guy is an idiot. Shouldn't even be on TV but you know how people in America love idiots on TV.

It would a tuurible idea.

Is this a trick question?? IMO no way,no how.

02-13-2010, 01:14 PM
absolutely not, he doesnt even kno half the names of the players in the league...the only thing he will/would be good at is the host of a tv show...other than that i wouldnt pay charles barkley to run a multi million dollar franchise, any1 willing to do that is more ******** than he is

I love Chuck, my favourite player of all time and all that, but being him being a GM just wouldnt be good for any team. I just know if he has the commitment to do it, and plus I dont want him to leave our TV screens, he makes TNT Overtime the show it is.

They used to have segments where Barkely had to name what team a player was one. He was turrible at it. Just because a good a guy might have a good idea once in a while, does not in anyway mean would be consistant in making good decisions as a general manager of a profesional organization.

doubt it. Most ex players don't have a good understanding of the cap, and therefore put together rosters of overpaid mid level players. There are too many examples to even begin
