Here are my five that i would have lace it up...

Point - Im taking Steve Nash, hes the smartest point guard in the game today and is completey unselfish, it would be fun to see him run the break with Lebron!

2 Guard - The best in the biz...Kobe...the closest thing to MJ...period.

Small Forward - The best athlete ive ever saw...King James...it would be a highlight reel to see him run the floor with Nash running the show.

Power Forward - He may be a little undersized...but i gotta take Carmelo...hes so athletic and can really shoot the ball.

Center - Also one of the most athletic ppl ive ever seen...D WIGHT Howard...he is a freaking monster! He is very unpolished as far as post moves and some games he takes like 4 shots...but he is such a physical specimen and rebounding machine!

Thats my five that i would take...lets here yours.:)

Pretty sure the US basketball team was blowing teams out by 30 and what not.

Because they have to be selfless for the bigger picture, nationalism ETC. NBA is a completely different story.

I like this one actually...

I'ma take:

Deron Williams at point
Rip Hamilton at shooting guard
LBJ at small forward
Tim Duncan at power forward and...
Pau Gasol at center

I think this team would work well together and most of the players are young enough that they would last for the next five years.

HOLY CRAP. This is a fantastic team, and I can definitely see all 5 guys working well together. Very good lineup.

This thread started out as a joke, but you just made it to a potentially good beginning of this thread with this lineup idea. I really like this lineup.

Good job man! Much props!

Talent wise you have a solid team, but I'm not sure they'd gell. Dwight is the only guy who doesn't need the dominate the ball. Nash, Bryant and James especially bring the ball up a lot and set up plays. Maybe too many cook in the kitchen.
