If so, it should be Monta Ellis or OJ Mayo.

Chauncey was selected already instead of Paul. I'm guessing another guard or a wild card will be selected.

Can Chauncey still be selected or do they have to replace Roy with a SG?

If so, it should be Monta Ellis.

Chauncey already made it for CP3's spot.

Yeah I fixed it.

It should either be Monta Ellis or OJ Mayo at this point. I'd prefer Mayo considering hes productive on a winning team instead of Ellis whos chucking on a losing team.

I hope Tyreke Evans makes it.

Here's the story

Roy to miss next 3 three games and All-Star Game; Second PRP injection on Monday
By Jason Quick, The Oregonian
February 06, 2010, 4:27PM
Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy will miss the team's next three games leading into the All-Star Break and will also sit out the All-Star Game in Dallas on Feb. 14 because of his strained right hamstring, the team announced Saturday.

Roy will also receive his second injection of Platelet-Rich-Plasma (PRP) on Monday in Seattle.
The injection is supposed to stop bleeding in the injured area and promote healing and growth in the muscle tissue. His first injection was on Jan, 22, two days after he aggravated his hamstring in a game against Philadelphia.

Roy will miss his 10th consecutive game, and 11th in 12 games, tonight against the Lakers and will also miss key Western Conference games against Oklahoma City on Tuesday and at Phoenix on Wednesday.

More to come after Roy speaks to the media at 6 p.m.

I see Aaron Brooks or Rudy Gay.

I don't care that he's a guard (Roy), I am of the opinion that Kaman most deserves an all-star appearance now that Billups has a spot.

Players, in order, who should replace him.

1. Ellis
2. Kaman
3. Evans
4. Gay
5. Brooks

It's probably gonna be Ellis, but if it's anyone else I'd give it to Kaman. Anyone I'm forgetting?

Ellis won't make it, and shouldn't IMO. They don't/shouldn't award players for putting up big numbers on a mediocre team.

Kaman for me. Didn't they replace Bosh with like Mo Williams last year or something? So I think it can be done.

td0tsfinest

neither. Kaman should be there.

brooks or kavemayne better make it.

RocketsRule

They already have Nash, Williams, and Billups so I really don't see Brooks making it.

Kaman or Gay/Mayo for me.

Since my Blazers don't get a guy into the All-Star game we should get to choose who goes instead!! I choose Aaron Brooks because he is a former Duck, and he is reallly good!

2 spots so put Brooks and Kaman in or Ellis and Brooks. I don't want 2 more players from bad teams making it.

I don't get how a guy with Rose's numbers gets the all-star nod, yet Tyreke Evans doesnt

Edit: Actually I do get it. All-star game nods are the result from the prior year's performance. See Kevin Durant. All-star player births are a two year process. Then you let your reputation carry you from there.

Or the fact that Eastern Conference is much easier...
And yes, your edit is correct as well unless your name is Michael Jordan, Grant Hill, Shaquille O'neal or Yao Ming, though Yao had Chinese voters on his side as well.

As for who should replace Roy, my vote is for Brooks.

Melo too, so that makes 2 spots open. Brooks better get one of them. Stern better not put bynum in. I don't want Bynum thinking hes playing at an all-star level right now.

Not many real all-stars lefts this time around. But it'll be good to see some fresh faces making their debut with all the perennials out.

I don't think Anthony will be out. He's on my fantasy team and he was supposed to come back like every game last week. Karl wouldn't let him play though. He will return next week I'm guessing.

I mean you can say his team is horrible which is it but dont say he is putting up mediocre numbers though. I mean 26 points a game is not mediocre.

Mediocre numbers for Monta, you crazy dude.

Monta is putting up mad numbers and the dude practically plays every minuite of every game. Sure the Warriors suck but what does that matter this is an All Star game where it is all about your personal stats.
Monta has all star numbers and shuld be the one to go.

You telling me if the Thunder were in last place Kevin Durant doesn't deserve to go to the all star game. It's all about the individual numbers and Ellis is the guy. It's not Monta's fault the warriors suck it is Ownership and poor desision making

I repeat he is putting up mediocre #'s, and a FAR cry from All-Star caliber. 26ppg isnt telling anyone anything.

Thats partly whats making you think he has good #'s.

LMFAO not if you know anything about stats

No because Durant has incredible #'s. See the difference

Jason Kidd

If you guys are saying Aaron Brooks, it's only because you value his PPG too much. He is a good PG, but Jason Kidd is several notches above him, even whiling being older. I think it would also be more appropriate seeing as the games are in Dallas.

I'd agree with J. Kidd. Dude's a legend, game's in Dallas, and he's playing fantastic as usual for a contender.
