The Big Fundamental, to along with 21 pts and 6 dimes, also had a career high 27 rebounds!

That is 2nd most among active players, behind Shaquille O'Neal (28 rebs)

What was his career high before this?

25 rebs, but I think that was back in around 2005 or 2006 (Age 28/29) in a road game against the Miami Heat.

But to do this at age 33, 13th season in the association, is just beastly and amazing!

Oh btw, Dwight Howard is 3rd among active players with 26 rebounds as his career high in his young career.

TIMMY D!!! He is playing at a high level which is very impressive for a man of his age... especially since the league is so much more athletic than before.

Timmy is arguably having one of, if not his best seasons ever. Seriously. It's amazing how little attention he gets.

His minutes are down, but he's only once averaged more points, his rebounds are at his career average, his blocks are still where they've always been, he's only once had a higher FG%, he's never shot this well from the FT line, he's passing above his career average and he's fouling less than ever (all per 36 minutes). His PER this year is 27.1, tying a career high.

He's still a top 5 player, top 7 at worst, in the league. It's unfathomable how he can continue to fly under the radar this much.

Yeah it was in 2003 (one of his MVP seasons) and he was 26... Pretty amazing to break that record 7 years later when you're 33.

I don't take him for granted at all. People moan that he's boring but when he hangs them up those people will realise what a pleasure it was to watch him play.

yes, ur right, my bad.

So among current active players, its:

1. Ben Wallace (28-twice)
2. Shaquillle O'Neal (28)
3. Tim Duncan (27)
4. Dwight Howard (26)

More importantly: did the Spurs win?

I still think he has one big postseason left in him. As long as the Spurs are healthy at the end of this year, they have a chance to win it.

damn, i mean, i wasnt expecting much from him this season, i thuoght this was going to be the season we all notice his decline after losing 15 pounds over the summer to take pressure off his kneees. But he has been beast this year, and now he gets a career-high, hes the best.

I'm a HUGE Duncan fan... but it's not that impressive if you take into account his HORRIBLE 5-20 FG %...

27 rebounds is pretty damn impressive. His FG% has nothing to do with the topic of the thread. An off night, it happens.

Grabbed 27 while having an off shooting night 5-20 BUT he actually hit 11-11 free throws and he's a career what 60 something? Big-Ups to Timmy. Greatest PF ever, difference b/w him and KG is that Timmy is STILL doing it.

Blair is a monster on the boards too! He got 9 in 16 minutes last night and he's had better outings.

But props to Duncan. He's the man and the best player over the last decade easily in my opinion.

that's funny, cause i was watching the cavs game last night and they mentioned one of the timberwolves players getting 26 rebounds just a game or two ago and it being a season high, the same night, duncan grabs 27.
