Admit it, at the start of the season, Grizzlies has three players that were, at some point in their careers, called black holes in offense. (Zach Randolph, OJ Mayo, Allen Iverson) Only a few expected it to work but Hollins was able to make it work. Is he the leading candidate right now with the Grizzlies having a 24-19 record and is now, with a win over the Magic, on the eighth playoff spot. Thoughts?

If the Grizzlies keep this up and finish a few games above .500, I wouldn't be at all disappointed if Lionel Hollins won Coach of the Year.

Larry Brown would be a good choice as well if Charlotte got above .500.

Lionel Hollins is in the debate. But for me, I gotta go with Nate McMillan or Rick Adelman. Both guys are doing so much with less.

It'll depend on what Charlotte does. I'd put Hollins in the lead atm though.

Hollins is making a team loaded with talent work, Adelman and Brown are working with less and still doing more.

Of course , I vote for Hollins.......:D
There were SO many naysayers before the start of this season AND if Hollins could have kept AI away from the Grizz AND we might have had a better start than 1-8 AND we have won as many games NOW as we did the WHOLE season last year AND we are having a blast here in Mempho again. Life is good.

I like his chances. Fact is AI's presence and attitude led to the poor start. He was a cancer to that team and the young locker room to start the year. Since AI was banished he has a winning record and has taught a young team to win and play together.

Adleman deserves strong consideration and you can't go wrong with him, but Nate shouldn't be brought into consideration because he hasn't even coached all the games they have won.

If the Grizz make the playoffs then he gets consideration. Truth be told, the Grizz have talent. I actually knew that they would be decent this year.

love what he's done, and i've had him as my COY for like a month back when everyone was saying Westphaul, but now it's Larry Brown for me
