I wanted to pick OKC but thought I should go with the safe pick. Good game so far. I had the chance to see Durant front row at the Izod the night he dropped 40 this year. That was a real treat. He's an absolute physical specimen.

The next Nets game I go to I'm just going to start screaming the name "JOHN WALL!" over and over again from the rafters once they go down by 20. Until they kick me out, anyway.

Of course that won't be until March, so chances are I won't be the first one.

That ending was interesting with Durant being 14/14 and having a chance to ice the game, but missing the free-throw. At least he stepped up to the line though unlike some other players we know.

What dig? A lot of players don't have the intestinal fortitude to step up to the line, not just Lebron. Shows me the insecurity though that your first thought of a lack of intestinal fortitude is LBJ.

Haha, why you trying to act all defensive now? You were calling LeBron a choker when he didn't shoot those free throws against the Jazz and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to notice it was him you were alluding to...

Anyone still believe Dwight isn't scoring because of his lack of offensive skills?

He had 14 FGA in the game tonight (12 FGA/18 points first half) and hit 10 of them; 2 of 3 jumpshots, 3 of 4 hook shots, 2 dunks created off iso plays, 2 assisted dunks, 1 putback dunk and 2 missed tip-ins. He got 12 of those 14 shots off in the first half, none in the third and only attempted 1 shot, a running hook which he sank, in the fourth quarter (the other was a tip-in attempt off Carter's miss).

SVG has done a horrible job of getting plays ran for Howard, he seems to be in love with the 3pt game and it's affecting his team's success. Howard said that there are aspects of his game that he's worked on but has never got the chance to try in games, SVG needs to give him the room to develop or we may never see Clark Kent become Superman.

Vince continues to shut down Kobe when they meet. This has happened the last 4 times.

Vince didn't guard Kobe once all of last night, normally he would shut down Kobe, but the honors went to Matt Barnes last night.

He was irratating Kobe all night long and since Kobe's teammates were scoring he just backed off a bit, at one point I sort of forgot he was in the game lol. Shannon Brown won't score 22 pts often, nor will Farmar score 11 pts straight, their bench and Orlando's poor coaching decisions are what gave the game to the Lakers. They made their comeback when Howard hit the bench and then Dwight didn't touch the ball until LA's lead went up to 7 pts.

Everyone has been yelling and shouting this all season long and all of last year's playoffs: if Dwight gets the ball more, the team can play off him and they'll be more successful.

Bryant had difficulty with Vince Carterís defense, going 5-for-17 from the field in 28 minutes and finishing with 12 points in the Lakersí fifth straight victory. He shot 1-for-9 in the first half and didnít get to the free-throw line until 1:11 remained in the second quarter. The last time they met, the two-time scoring champion was outscored 27-6 by Carter and shot 3-for-13 with no free-throw attempts.

It's easy to say that Dwight needs to get the ball more!

It was LAs defense that didn't let the ball get to Dwight!

Don't you think that when SVG sees that his team is winning when Dwight is scoring he would command his team to pass the ball inside?

Dwight couldn't get a position down low in the second half because of Gasol and Odom good team defense!

Phil is such a great coach that he always makes incredible adjustments after the halftime!Thats why we are the leagues better 3rd quarter team!We lost the 3rd quarter yesterday, because other magic players got hot but Howard didn't get the ball anymore down low!I think that was the thing that PJ wanted to do!

JB, you do know that Vince did not guard Kobe once last night right? And I highly doubt Vince shuts anyone down. Kobe has shot 30% against the Clippers over the last 7 games. And only scoring 20 points a game. Should we make the proclamation that Eric Gordan is shutting Kobe down too? Sometimes, players just play bad against bad teams. Kobe does not get up for games against the Nets and Clippers. Especially in the regular season. That is normally when he has his worst games.

Vince Carter has always been a horrible defender. And last night he was getting bullied by Artest. It was really sad. The Lakers radio guys were laughing at Carter and his half heart defense that he has been known to play his entire career.

It doesn't matter, he got the ball a lot more on the outside as well in the first half. When they went to him late in the fourth (down 7pts), the only time he made a negative play was when he was called for offensive foul. Otherwise he hit a hook shot, got Gasol into foul trouble and got to the line 3 times to make 4 FTs... I stand by what I said, they should've gotten him the ball more.
