So basically which duo would you prefer to have based on positions.

PG/SG - ex. Baron + Ellis (pretty exciting to watch together)
PG/Big - ex. Stockton + Malone
SG/SF - ex. Jordan + Pippen
SG/Big - ex. Kobe + Shaq
Big/Big - ex. Duncan + Robinson

Feel free to add your own, you can use your own players too this was just off the top of my head.

Baron and Ellis should not be in the same group as those other gentlemen.

Yeah, I thought it was going to be current when you started w/ Ellis and Baron. Warriors fan anyone?

Stockton + Malone all the way. Best small-big duo to ever play the game.

Warriors fan? I'd take Ellis over Baron any day of the week. You don't win with someone like Baron Davis.

In terms of position and not players (ex. I would take Jordan + Pippin over Robinson + Duncan):

1. Sg/Big
2. Big/BIg
3. Pg/Big
4. Sg/Sf
5 Pg/Sg

Jordan & Pippen was an exception because Jordan was godlike.

Shaq-Kobe minus the drama was the best combo

ill take a great sg with a dominating center any day. however, it's almost impossible to get that kind of combination due to the lack of true centers.

it depends on the players themselves more than positions

1. Big/Big
2. SG/Big
3. PG/Big
4. PG/SG
5. SG/SF

It depends on who the players are, but the "little man/big man" tandem is going to be the better/safer choice 9/10 times. Kobe and Shaq are the greatest dynamic duo to ever exist in the NBA.

definitely kobe and shaq...where would the "lebron + bosh or amare" that they want on the knicks next year land on this list? right at the top?
