As many of you have heard the earthquake in Haiti has been devestating to the people of the country and Samuel Dalembert has been trying to help his country and any donations would help.

So I say, regardless of your favorite team/player if you have even a few dollars... please help this cause.

The website is http://www.dalembertfoundation.org/donate.html

Thank you.

man i always rip on dalembert but this is a terrible tragedy and i feel really bad for the guy. ill def donate some money because Haiti is a struggling country and they need all the help they can get.

this issue is obviously worlds bigger than sports so i hope people take notice. 100,000 people feared dead... that's ridiculous.

God Bless the people and nation of Haiti. I hope that all the water/food/medical materials get there in a timely manner for them. I feel sooooo bad for them :(

I donated $30 to his foundation today. I know a lot of people aren't in love with Sam the basketball player(myself included at times), but he's a good guy off the court. I haven't typically donated to such causes in the past, but when you see it affecting a player on your favorite team it brings some perspective on the situation.

You can also donate directly from your cell phone. 2 Options below:

Jean-Francois noted that the musician Wyclef Jean, who was born in Haiti and whose Yele Haiti Foundation strives to lift the nation from poverty, is spear-heading relief efforts. People can make a donation by texting "Yele" to 501501, which will automatically donate $5 to the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund. The $5 will be charged to your cell phone bill.

The American Red Cross has set up a similar system. By texting "HAITI" to 90999, you can donate $10 to American Red Cross relief efforts for Haiti. The amount will be added to your cell phone credit card bill.
