Based on Free Throw Rate (FT attempted/ FG attempted) the Bucks have the worst differential in the league by an insane maragin.

1. Bobcats: 6.39
2. Nuggets: 6.07
3. Magic: 5.90
4. Grizzlies: 5.27
5. Blazers: 5.17

28. Pistons: -5.33
29. Pacers: -6.91
30. Bucks: -14.77

:speechless:

I'm just as suprised to see Charlotte at number one, and no LA, San Antonio, Boston or Cleveland (teams with big inside presences) in the top five...

Larry Brown has always emphasized attacking the basket. But seeing as how the Cats don't have a real post presence (Jackson and Wallace are probably their best options at this point) it is definitely surprising.

They are a physical team, but only defensively, this basically embodies Bogut as well guy is such a puss in the paint. They also lost their best slasher/get to the line guy in Redd so that cant be helping.

I disagree on Bogut, he's been good this year with a few monster efforts on both ends of the court.

It doesn't help that the Bucks are 25th in FT% and opponents are 4th in FT%, but still they are giving up 8.6 more attempts per game than they take.

It's not that surprising when you consider how friendly refs and rules are towards perimeter players. Of the top 10 players in FTA, only Dwight, Bosh, and Nowitzki would be consider post players.

As for the Lakers, Kobe doesn't get to the line as much as he used to, Gasol and Bynum combine for 9.1 FTA per game (less than Lebron) and Artest is having his worst year by free throws per minutes and FT%

Yep...This has been a huge problem the entire year. Whoever called Bogut a ***** is an idiot who hasn't seen him play this season. He doesn't really get to the line, but he's no puss. Other then that, Jennings is scared to drive to the hoop, but he never gets a call from the ref so why should he risk getting crushed. Ersan Ilyasova would do it all the time, but instead he likes to stay behind the 3 point line as much as possible.

I will say that the Bucks never get any calls (with the exception of the last game against the Bulls;)). Other then that, when Tim Duncan or Kobe Bryant cry, they get calls all day and all night.

That's no excuse for why the Bucks don't drive to the hoop though.

How are bigs supposed to get to the line if they don't have the ball in their hands?

I'm sure Phil has told that to Kobe.

What game would you like to me to watch that demonstrates his in the paint dominance? Its like I always say, hoping you people stop with the doesnt watch him play crapola of an argument, I can literally watch any recent game I want and for the good games, any time I want.

You got it wrong, hes a puss so he doesnt get to the line. Its ok bro, nothing wrong with that. Hes still an all-star ish center and one of my favorites so why are you so offended, oh yea your a homer.

He's killed the Bulls all three times this year.

Watch his last game against Chicago...

Understanding your idea of presence in the paint, you're a stat watcher I see....There's more to the whole presence thing then just free throws.

Yup. I'm a clear-cut homer, it's not like I just bashed my team in my previous post in this exact thread or anything...

Stupid me, I can't believe I forgot...In basketball if you don't get to the line you must be a big *****. Even if it isn't part of your game...Whoops. Not like he takes charges all the time or anything:rolleyes: Maybe instead, he should cry and scream like a howler monkey when he drives to the hoop, flail his arms in the air, and join the likes of Chris Bosh, Lebron James, and Michael Redd in their foul drawing tactics.

they have no slashers on the wings.

they have some jumpshooters, semi-soft bigs, an offensively inept player or two and jennings.

Well based on the last few games, I've seen of them; the Bucks have a tendency to settle for jumpers and can get caught up in that for long periods. When you put Jennings and Redd out there as shooters and the main scorers (while Redd was playing), the free throws just won't come as easily because they like to shoot the ball, not necessarily drive and draw contact.

Redd doesnt play that way at all man, hes not a spot up/curl shooter ala Ray Allen. Yes its a strength in his game but hes a good slasher when healthy.

Losing Redd only hurts their case even more, but that is a REALLY poor number either way.

You say Redd doesn't play at all that way, but then at the end of your post you say "yes its a strength of his game". So which way are you gonna go because he definitely spots up and takes a shot all the time.

I meant he uses it as the foundation for his drives, but he doesnt settle for them all the time the way Ray Ray does. Partly because hes not the shooter Ray is, but also because hes expanded his game over the years, and hes relatively young (though injury prone) so he still has some legs in him. Oddly enough I think it wouldve been best for both his game and his career if he wouldve stayed true to the whole shooting specialist thing.

LOL. i agree with you. ive disagreed with this chronz guy over a topic before and it seems like the way he talks to us that he knows a lot more than any of us and that his basketball knowledge is superior to all of us in the forum. then when we challenge him on a topic, the first thing he reverts to are insults.
