Their new slogan will be...

"Now you can listen and watch us suck off LeBron and feel like you're ACTUALLY THERE!!!"

Many people are skeptical that consumers will suddenly pull their LCD and plasma televisions off the wall. Beginning at around $2,000, the 3-D sets will, at first, cost more than even the current crop of high-end flat-screens, and buyers will need special glasses techie goggles, really to watch in 3-D.

id probably say 3D is the next step in sports broadcasting. for regular sitcoms and news shows, i dont think people would care about 3D or not. i wouldnt be surprised if the porn industry and cartoon networks got into this as well.

there's the issue of making people wear those ridiculous glasses though. i dont think people are up for sitting around in those large "unfashionable" frames.

haha yes!!!! it will be amazing. not sure why there needs to be 3D tvs along with 3D programming. i always assumed it was just the way the pixels were placed that made it look 3D after filtering it through those glasses. hopefully i dont need to buy a 3D tv for that. 3D soccer...amazing!

im not sure. there's 3D stuff on youtube that you can watch fine. you throw on those glasses (not the theater ones but the ones that come with your dvd/blu ray) and bam it's 3D. not sure why one would need a 3D tv. if they're gonna have WC 2010 in 3D, they're not gonna have those tvs in time. probably means that you can watch it on a normal tv or your comp and just need them glasses.

I would hope so.

Every color tv should be able to display 3D but it'd be garbage.

Hopefully the quality is good as ESPN HD is garbage.

the difference is that its realD not 3D. ***** not going to come popping out the screen. it will have improved depth and contrast quality and if seen in HD will look amazing but not necessarily with crazy effects

Nobody needed 3d tv's for the thing they did during the superbowl last year. I got glasses in the mail and they worked with my flat screen

its not sensible imo.. if anyone has seen avatar in 3d like my self youd know what i mean.. am i the only one who had to take multiple breaks during the 3 hr movie (either taking off the glasses or having to step out to the theater altogether)... my vision is 20/10, so you cant blame it on bad vison.. plus people with glasses would have to put shoddy plastic 3d glasses over their regular glasses..
if this bs becomes dominant, we're gonna have a whole generation full of Jim 'Wash Out' Pfaffenbach's (look it up).... plus we already have 3d porn.... its called sex. get out the basement and try not to pay for it

if the experience is superior, why wouldn't people want it? if it gives off a more realistic feel to the viewer, it's worth a shot. i saw avatar in 3d and it was pretty much the only reason to see that movie. if im gonna watch something terrible, i'm at least gonna watch it in 3d.

id love to see my nets lose in 3d. the experience would be better considering it takes 2 hours to get to the stadium, 2.5 when they move ot newark.
