I would love to see Butler or Jamison (again) in a warriors uniform, but I don't see it happening with the pieces the warriors would be willing to give up. I wouldn't want to see the warriors part with Curry, Ellis, Randolph, Biedrins, or Morrow.

Obviously a trade of Maggette + Wright for either Butler or Jamison would work, but I don't see why the Wizards would want Maggette. They could get a lot more value from another team.

Hes awful lol especially of late. Most of his open shots, he misses. He barely drives anymore, and plays ZERO defence.

David Aldridge also reported that all deals with the Wiz were put on hold by the higher ups to they get the Arenas/Critter stuff straight.

If the Wiz were smart, they should just cancel Gilbert's contract if given the option

Wiz put big money behind guy who never even took them to the NBA finals.... thats what they get for paying being for mediocrity

Jamison could be a beast on most contenders... playing that 6th man roll he used to play for Dallas

Adam Morrison and fillers for Mike Miller = Morrison provides cap relief
(I'm not sure how much longer Millers contract is)

the Rockets give you Tracy McGrady

I'd definently take Caron Butler for Josh Howard. Gives the Wizards a solid player in return and an expiring contract. Would be even better if we could throw in Shawne Williams expiring and get Mike Miller as well.

Wizards Need a post player.
They could Rent Bosh in a deal for Jamison.
How about a Butle & Blatcher for Tmac rental?
If the Wiz elect to void Arenas contract they would have a ridiculous amount of money.
Of course, Arenas would bolt because of the salp.
But the Wiz could sign Wade and Bosh and still have Butler/Jamison, if my math is correct.

raptors give Calderon and Antoine Wright for Caron Butler, gives them a dynamic 2/ 3 guard slasher that plays the GOOD defense they desperately need. makes sense salary cap wise, Wizards get the opportunity to part ways with Arenas which will also be happening soon and are insured at the PG position with a good, pass-first point guard that toronto still has in Jarret Jack. win-win

Big Z's $11 million expiring, JJ Hickson and a second round pick for Antawn Jamison.

Wiz get huge cap relief and actually become players in this years free agency, a young, athletic prospect who would get good playing time alongside Blatche and McGee and an extra draft pick.

Cavs get a guy that can go 20/10 any night, stretch the floor with Shaq and defend the faster, more athletic PF's that we struggle against. Another shooter to put around LeBron, he can also provide scoring and take some of the burden off LeBron and Mo. The Wiz would more than likely buy out Z's contract allowing him to return to the Cavs for the vet. minimum adding even more depth for the playoff push.

I would love to see the celtics get butler and move ray allen to the 6th man....we have 4young players(that could be moved) and 2 expiring contracts...scal,ta,giddens, hudson and walker and williams too
maybe something like tony allen and scal and giddens and a late first round pick

If I were the wiz I would void the areanas contract(which makes this years FA class thta much better) and I would trade butler for expiring contracts and a pick and I would trade Jamison for expiring contracts and a pick.maybe trade Mike miller to a team like the lakers who maybe you could get a pick from..and pretty much tank this season and hope you get John wall with your pick and then with the other 2-3 first round picks get some good players in this prety deep draft.....and then with all that money you save you got to go out and get some young players..Joe johnson? rudy gay and maybe felton and resign haywood

Wizards & Nets Deal!

- Nets acquire PF A.Jamison from Wizards in exchange for SF T.Hassel, C Tony Battie, and 2010 2nd rd pick.

Nets acquire an all-star caliber PF that would intrigue other FA's to come join the nets in 2010!!

Nets Lineup:

C) B.Lopez/ J.Boone
PF) A.Jamison/Yi/E.Najera/S.Williams
SF)Terr Williams/B.Simmons/J.Hayes
SG)C.Lee/C.Doug-Roberts
PG) D.harris/R.Alston/K.Dooling

And with one single swipe, the Nets ruin all the hard work they have put in to freeing up cap room...

No matter what the Wizards won't get better by giving up Butler and/or Jamison. They are REBUILDING so i doubt they are looking to contend after this trade if it happens so teams aren't gonna give up that much.

With that being said, Chris Quinn for Caron Butler

I'd trade for Butler. A Salmons and Pargo for Butler swap.

Adam Morrison and fillers for Mike Miller = Morrison provides cap relief
(I'm not sure how much longer Millers contract is)

Miller is also an expiring contract. And is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than Morrison.

I'd trade them Kirk, Jerome James and Salmons for Butler and Miller.

2009-10 2010-11 Total
Caron Butler 9780970 10811960 20592930

JR Smith 6171426 6031851 12203277
Malik Allen 1300000 1300000

Wiz save: 2309544 4780109 7089653

Not overwhelming, but I think it would be a pretty good balance of trimming some fat financially and also getting a more affordable quality player in return who they can move forward with into next season.

well, too bad that we could have made this trade in June an get their fifth pick too (according to rumors at that time)
even though it was said we were going to take Hill in this case :speechless:

If ownership wants to tear it all down and start from scratch, they should trade both for Shaq +picks and release shaq.
