VA Value Added is the estimated number of points a player adds to a team’s season total above what a "replacement player" (for instance, the 12th man on the roster) would produce. Value Added = ([Minutes * (PER - PRL)] / 67). PRL (Position Replacement Level) = 11.5 for power forwards, 11.0 for point guards, 10.6 for centers, 10.5 for shooting guards and small forwards

EWA Estimated Wins Added is Value Added divided by 30, giving the estimated number of wins a player adds to a team’s season total above what a "replacement player" would produce.

One standalone stat that's pretty amazing in itself is that 'Reke is averaging 37 minutes and Jennings is right on the heels of that.

i remember when Jennings scored the 55 points and EVERYONE jumped on this nuts and declared him the ROY.

I think Tyreke Evans is the clear favorite now.

Except that you dont need minutes to make the list, you only need to play well

Meh, you can't really know what a future draft pick will bring.

Donte Greene is gonna be nasty though and combined with Casspi, that trade is looking rough, unless you consider Artest for Ariza.

Chronz
01-03-2010, 05:04 PM
True Artest did land Ariza in a way, but Ariza wouldve came regardless, all that did was save up money for Anderson and co. And is Donte Green doing good? Last year he put up like the worst #'s of anyone his age, I relaly started doubting his potential.

I'm not gonna say that Ty Lawson should be the ROY but he's a hell of a player. He's been playing great and definitely has a hell of a future in the NBA.

I have a feeling that Casspi kid is going to make Rocket fans regret trading for Artest.

We got Bobby Jackson, Donte Greene, and Omri Casspi for Ron Artest. I'd say the Kings won that trade, even now. What's scary is, Casspi and Donte are still both just 21 years old, and aren't close to their respective primes.

Oh and, the Kings had themselves a hell of a draft this year. 2 top 5 rookies in the first round, and Jon Brockman, their 2nd round pick, has the makings of a pretty good role player.

Complete turnaround for Donte this year. He's actually becoming a pretty decent defender, sometimes a good defender this year. With his combination of length and quickness, I like his potential on the defensive end. Last year he was awful on defense, and looked lost. This year, he's taking the ball inside more and is finishing. Donte just seems a lot stronger this year as well, he bulked up to around 240 pounds. He's averaging 9.2 PPG on 47% FG in 20 MPG. I would like to see him rebound the ball better though, since he's 6'10.

Crappy loss in Denver tonight, but the silver lining is that Lawson is really coming into his element as Billups continues to sit out due to injury. He's really making a case for expanding his role on the team and proving that he has the ability to lead a veteran-stacked offense in spite of being a rookie.

biggest surprises this year: casspi, blair, and lawson. they all were LATE picks for their current worth. Actually surprised that Thabeet is so high on the list. Also (and i know the previous comments) i was surprised that derozan wasnt even in the top 20? i thought he was doing at least that well...Tyreke for ROY, jennings as the underdog, thank god everybody forgot about Rubio so soon...

dont forget jennings 55 as a rookie, leading the season with most in a single game
