Lakers are good but what are they going to run on?

Kobe is turning 32 and their other players are in their late 20's.

They have no great draft picks to pick top prospects.

All they have for the future right now is Bynum.

Don't get me wrong, I think they will be good but probably not going to be the best team of the decade.

I say NY turns things around in 2010 and gets some good draft picks and a couple of free agents.

Blazers, Thunder for young teams, Lakers because they have unlimited resources and don't care about salary cap

Call me Crazy but i Have OKC Thunders Some Decent Veterans and Their young Core once they full understand the NBA they would be the next Dynasty.

i would say OKC, but no way can they keep all those guys together when their contract years come. too much talent

It's too hard to predict. You can only accurately really guess the next 3-4 years at most, that's not even 1/3 or 1/2 of the decade.

But, my vote is, whoever gets LeBron.

Knicks in the east
Thunder in the west

Yeah, I'm biased... so?

the top 5 teams of the next decade:
nets-most picks of any team in the next couple years, 25 mil in 2010, possibility of nabbing john wall in draft, possibility of getting a superstar in free agency, billionaire owner, nice young core

thunder-great young core that will only get better led by KD

blazers-great core (roy, lma, oden, bayless) + they have a billionaire owner in paul allen

magic-have the best center in the nba who is very young, and have a smart gm in otis smith but can be debated because they hav the large contracts of vince and rashard who mite decline

lakers-smart organization that will always strive at being the best. got nice young guys like bynum, shannon brown, farmar, etc.

knicks also, they got guys like gallinari, lee, douglas, hill

I think Knicks are going to keep struggling for a while, but will eventually turn things around in the next 2-3 seasons..If not soon, I would hope..Nets will be back on the market once they pick up some players in the free agency.

If the Blazers were healthy right now and I could see them play I would say them but this was supposed to be a crucial year in development. I don't know about dynasty but they will be good. I'll say the Bulls, not kidding either. They will get Wade next year and Rose is going to be dominant, plus they already have some other good pieces like Deng and Noah

Knicks - Galinari, Chandler, Lee are good players and they will definitely land some free agents if they can move Jeffries and/or Curry.

Nets - Harris, Lopez, and Yi is starting to look better from what I've seen, they will have a high draft pick possibly John Wall, and will also have cap space.

Heat - Beasley, Chalmers and will have cap space for Wade + FA.

Thunder - Westbrook, Durant, Harden, Green. They might not have all these guys past their contract years, but they have a lot of cap space and they will definitely keep Durant, who could become a superstar.

Blazers - Roy, Aldridge are both great players, but they need to stay healthy (especially Oden) to be successful.

Bulls - Rose, Deng, Noah and can land a FA.

Lakers - Kobe will be dominant for a few more years, so I can see them being good until age catches up to them.

Eastern Conference:

Miami
New Jersey (Purely based on the assumption they get a huge FA (Not named Wade) this off-season)
Orlando

Western Conference:

Oklahoma City
Portland
Los Angeles

The Thunder probably. Kevin Durant is amazing, Westbrook is a great PG, Green is good. Watch out for them in 2-3 years. Watch out

If all of the players were to stay on the teams they were, I would go...

Thunder
Memphis
Kings
Nets

BUT, trades will happen, many teams that look promising now will continue to be bad.\

Lets hope the Thunder are not one of those teams...

Nets (homer pick)- If the Nets get Wall, I think that there's a 75-80% chance that LeBron comes. Start of a dynasty.

Knicks- solid core, may be able to attract a few free agents next year.

Miami- I'm one of those people that believe that Wade is going to stay and try to lure Bosh to come. Wade+Bosh=

Thunder- Kevin Durant. nuff' said. Will become a powerhouse sooner than most people expect.

Blazers- the best young team in the NBA. Will continue to dominate in the years to come.

There may be more but these teams stand out the most for me.

I hope the Thunder stay in tact, but I highly doubt it. Durant is most likely going to bolt for a bigger market and more money.

The Lakers will always be a contender for some part of the decade in any decade. They are the Yankees of basketball. So to pick dynasties, I don't know how you wouldn't pick them .

Thunder and Blazers are bound for success, they should both win a championship. But for the next 3-5 years, Lakers will dominate. Two or three titles for them, maybe more depending on how they do later in the decade. Celtics will still be a force for at least one or two more years, so maybe they win one. Orlando should be extremely solid all throughout the next decade, thanks to a great core now and the amazing potential of Dwight, I see maybe two titles for them. Miami can be a dynasty if they hit the jackpot in free agency. And New Jersey should be solid, especially if they land a free agent. And look at the Cavs, they have two players (Bron and Mo) and they are doing great. Imagine if they got real players? Of course this will all change later in the decade.

SteveNash

Lakers.

Now can someone tell me how a core of Westbrook, Harden/Sefolosha, Durant, and Green are ever going to become championship material.

JNA17

wonder why 0 people say memphis.

because their good players are gonna leave them just like every other good player that did leave them or got traded.

Eastern Conference:

Orlando, Atlanta, Miami, Milwaukee and Chicago are all looking up. They have a lot of great talent mixed with experience that is bound to benefit each team from here on out... they should all only get better.

In the Western Conference we have-

Of coarse the Lakers...Blazers, Nuggets, Rockets, Thunder, Jazz, Grizzlies, Clippers and Kings all have bright futures as well.

Right now the top teams in the league are the

Celtics, Cavs, and Magic in the East, and the Lakers at the top in the West.

Those team should sit comfortably at the top for the remainder of this year but expect things to change come the off-season and next season...
