This is what the 1st round would look like if the playoffs started today, Xmas Eve.

East-
1. Celtics vc 8. Bobcats

2. Magic vs 7. Bucks

3. Cavs vs 6. Raptors

4. Hawks vs 5. Heat

West-
1. Lakers vs 8. Jazz

2. Nuggets vs 7. Spurs

3. Mavericks vs 6. Rockets

4. Suns vs 5. Blazers

Any upsets with these seedings???
Do you think this is a good indication of the matchups come playoff time???

I'd be stoked to see the Blazers get the Suns in the first rd, injuries or not.

East is too wide open from 6 to every team not named the nets. Not that it would likely matter but I think you can find better match ups. Same for the bottom of the west I guess but to be honest LA vs Utah would be a real good match up.

Spurs could upset the Nuggets, while the Jazz could give the Lakers a run for their money.

Except the Lakers would more than likely sweep them. The Lakers have the potential to be one of the greatest teams of all-time. They have literally every component that's needed for an historically great team.

I have NO idea how anyone will beat them, 4 times in a 7 games series. But I thought the same thing about Cleveland last year. So, we'll have to wait and see.

Suns vs Blazers seem to be an intriguing match-ups.

The Blazers are an up-and-coming team that has loads of potential, while Phoenix has been in playoffs numerous times in the past. It would be an up-tempo, fun game with stars such as Brandon Roy, Lamarcus Aldridge, Steve Nash, and Amare Stoudemire would need to go off.

The Raptors are the worst defensive team of the decade, and the Cavs are the best defensive team in the league. Major advantage Cleveland.

What's that have to do with anything we beat the cavs on opening night but besides the point i was say that out of the top teams in the east being ATL, BOS, ORL AND CAVS..the cavs are a more favourable matchup for toronto
