If I were running the Sixers I would try and trade Andre Iguodala and Elton Brand for T-Mac, a 1st round pick, and salary filler.

It speeds up the progression of Marreese Speights who is playing better than EB now anyway.

Andre Iguodala is a good player, but not worth his franchise crippling contract. So cutting loose his contract outweighs his abilities as a player IMO.

If T-Mac is healthy we won't be any worse than we are right now, and a backcourt of AI and T-Mac would be fun to watch.

supposedly they offered t mac for ak in the offseason. Now we made 1 costcutting move, may as well make one for next season. AK+Korver for TMac. Would be sweet for our finances next year, and would put us in a position to re-sign Boozer, giving us a chance to get a lil extra value in a trade now. I dont know why Houston would want AK, he could run with them whislt playing D though, they like those sort of players, contract is ugly though, though I'm only going off the rumor I heard in the summer...honestly dont know why KOC turned that down unless like Fez or a first was involved...I'd stil do it though.

This works financially but its stupid...

Tmac for Nate Robinson (who wants a trade), Larry Hughes and Chris Duhon. Or they could just trade Harrington and Hughes for Tmac.

Like someone mentioned earlier...

Tmac for Brad Miller and John Salmons works as does Tmac for Korver and Kirelenko, or Tmac for Mike Miller and Antawn Jamison (not bad)

This one seems like It'd be good for both teams....

Tmac for Barbosa and Richardson

Phnx

Nash
McGrady
Hill
Stoudamire
Lopez

Houston

Brooks
Richardson
Ariza
Scola
I don't know who starts at the 5... Landry? Hayes??

and have a great 2nd unit with Barbosa... but this likely won't happen with Von Wafer coming back to the Rockets.

Tmac to Philly might work...

Tmac and Joey Dorsey for Dalembert or Brand, and Jason Kapono, and Willie Green. Houston can get another big which they desperately need in maybe Dalembert, or maybe Brand if they want more offense. Philly gets someone who can score, and create for themselves. But Tmac would have to play the 3 likely with Iggy there.

Philly

Iverson/Lou Williams
McGrady
Iggy
Brand/Young
Speights/Dalembert

Bench Thad Young

Houston should really consider running Tmac at starting SG with Ariza at SF.

Tmac is much like Kobe, and Ariza is more of a 3rd option than the 1/2option he is right now. Houston should really give it a shot before just trading Tmac away.

T-Mac needs a new situation...he would be great as a third scoring option on a young team like OKC or Minnesota.

If he lands on a team where he is 'the man' again...he'll no doubt sputter with health and complaining.

I keep telling you guys Rockets aren't trading mcgrady, stop believing everything you see in the media people that don't have a clue about the rockets, they just make assumptions to make headlines.

Not once have you heard the Rockets or mcgrady officially say their trading him but yet there are a million trade threads involving him because of what the media and fans speculates.

Their just being cautious because Adelmans dealt with webber coming back from micro-fracture surgery before the actual time it takes to recover, which is a full year. And they don't want him in and out of the line-up messing up the chemistry.

I agree and they aren't losing anything considering he is an expiring deal. But if T-mac doesn't come to the Bulls I'd rather him stay here in Houston.

The Jazz are obviously needing to cut some money. For an example, look at how they just gave away promising Eric Maynor just to save some dough. TMac won't give much, but he'll allow Utah to have the opportunity to re-sign Boozer this summer. Without AK's contract, there is a lot that Utah can do while staying below that luxury number.

It's not personal, it's strictly business.

Agreed with this, Ariza is MUCH better off the ball and not taking 22 ill-advised shots a night. He could split time with McGrady until he's conditioned, then start eating out of battier's minutes. With Ariza and even Brooks being too inconsistent to count on in crunch time, they could use him. Looked better than Ariza has all year in those 8 minutes last night.

Tmac for J-rich and Barbosa.. maybe toss in hayes and get Lopez back??

But I think the Suns would become possibly a top 3 team in the West... now I know they're playing well now, but I see this team finishing 5-8 team in the west when all is said and done.
