Jason Kidd has been pretty consistent throughout, even currently with Dallas, he pretty damn good. Nash was nonexistent from 2000-2004 with Dallas, being in the shadows of Michael Finley and Dirk Nowitzki, and wasn't really relevant or noticeable and highly respected in the NBA until he signed with the SUns in the summer of 04

Horrible list. No way is Garnett ahead of Duncan. Also how in the world is Kidd listed 4th when he actually carried his team to the finals twice?

I think the list is pretty easy actually, the 90's would have been harder.

PG: Nash and Billups. Why Billups over Parker and Kidd? Kidd ain't got no rings and he can't shoot, so as much as he has helped teams, he's never been able to do for the Nets or the Mavs what Chauncy did for the Pistons, and Chauncey also helped lead the Nuggets past the first round and up to the conference finals. And over Parker because Parker, though quick as lightening, isn't his team's leader the way Chauncey has been, that mantle belongs to Duncan.

SG: Kobe and Wade. I can't think of anybody else more deserving. Allen is a great shooter, and Reggie Miller showed he still had some legs, but Wade and Kobe were the stars this past decade.

SF: LBJ and Paul Pierce. Is there anybody else in contention? I can't think of anybody better than these two guys at this position.

PF: Duncan and Garnett. I can't think of two more deserving guys. They are the best defenders at their positions, and though some forwards may have higher scoring averages, these two play the team game and both could score 30 points a game if they demanded the ball, but their offensive repetoire's are complete and their games flawless.

C: Shaq and Big Ben. Why Ben over Yao? Because he was the heart and soul of a Detroit squad that was contending for several years and made back-to-back finals appearances. He was the best defender at his position, the best rebounder at his position, and the only center who managed to slow down Shaq.

Reserves: Gasol and Dirk. Dirk is an easy pick, he is the best player not on the list, but why Gasol? Because he is the next best thing to Duncan. Great passer, defender, scorer. He helped bring the Grizz to the playoffs, worked hard even when they weren't winning, and I was very happy to see his skills displayed on a true contender where he proved that he was more than just a big fish in a small pond. He has been the most consistent player on the Lakers (yes, even more consistent than Kobe), and played like an all-star the entire decade. I just wish he could have done that in a Spurs uniform :-( Or maybe a Detroit uniform? :) I'd even settle for Toronto... just not LA?!?!?!?!
