This guy is averaging 1.2 blocks in only 10 minutes:speechless:

He got another 4 blocks against the celtics tonight in only 18 minutes.

I seriously think when he gets the minutes, this guy has the chance to average 4-5 BPG

If he gets 30 minutes, I think he can lead the league in BPG.

well if he gets 1.2 in 10...then in 35...u just have to do a simple multiplication and see he can average right around 4 a game.

I think this is a case of everyone wants to take it at the rookie... If he was getting 35mpg and was known as a great shot blocker maybe people would think twice

He'll never play that much because he can't stay out of foul trouble.

he cant stay fo so long beause of being foul prone.

and also him being there so much time helps in blocks but hurts a lot in offense.

yea i dont think he would be able to stay in a game for 35mins
BUT if he did, i think he would get 4.3-4.7bpg

nonsense, he'll have up and down games. Games where he'll pick up early fouls, games where he simply wont get the opportunities to block shots especially as more people get careful with him in the paint.

He could definitely average 3ish per game. 4 or 5 is a huge stretch.

Using the per 36 minute column his stats would be this:

PPG: 9.4
RPG: 10.9
BPG: 8.2
PF: 7.4

So statistically he couldn't stay in a game for 36 minutes

4 blocks per 36 minutes

He needs time. I think in 2/3 years he will be a blocking monster. He will learn by then how to stay out of foul trouble.

Darko Milicic averaged 1.4 BPG in 13 minutes one season
Amir Johnson averaged 1.3 BPG in 12 minutes one season

Could he possibly lead the league in blocks with more minutes? Yes, but high numbers in 10-12 MPG doesn't mean it will translate over extended minutes.

in qny case memphis should be more concrened in bringing a retired big that can show him how to move in offense.

given his tipe of ody maybe the dream.

but if you want to make him a defensive stud and forget bout offense they coudl always hire Dike

DJ Mbenga is better blocker than him!

If he was on an interior defenseless team like the Knicks he would get 4.5 bpg easy! Thats why I was such an advocate in drafting him.

It's no secret the kid can block shots. Eventually he will get up to 35 mins in his career. But for now we'll continue with the "what ifs".

LMFAO! If you look at his stats "Per 36 Mins" then you'll not only see his 4.3 blocks per game, but you'll also find that he has 7.3 fouls per game. It is like the "Greg Oden for DPOY" rant, players that can't stay out of foul trouble, have no right of being in the conversation.

Something even Dwight Howard was struggling with early this season, now he has adjusted his game and is playing well.

I would say in the vicinity of 2 - 3 bpg

oh and if you are in the vicinity of anybody trying to use the nickname 'dream' when referring to thabeet, quickly proceed to slap his face off. there was only one dream.

^^^^^^^ I want to amend that to 3-4 BPG on 27 min.
