Players Known by First Name vs Players Known Mostly by Last Name
For instance, when thinking of star players, do you think of them mainly by their first name or last name?
Example:
Michael Jordan - Jordan
Scottie Pippen - Pippen
Kobe Bryant - Kobe
Magic Johnson - Magic
What are some other players?

Players with less common first names - First name
Players with less common last names - Last name
Players with very common names - Full name or nickname

Depends on the first name.
If it's a common name in the NBA like Chris or Michael, its most likely by last name.
But if there is only 1 person in the league with that name like Kobe, Lebron, Carmelo, Shaq, then it's first name.

Charles Barkley was actually quoted saying that only GREAT players should be quoted by their first names (especially when the first name is a COMMON name). eg. Sir Michael, Sir Charles.
