3 M sounds sort of cheap. They sure didn't wait long to fix the bullpen.

Agreed. he'll be one of the best setup men in the league and if Wagner needs a day or two off Saito can handle the load. Even if Wagner shoulder goes out on him during the season Saito will be able to handle that too.

Thats if they are both healthy. Yet Soriano was a rag doll as well, so the Braves are prepared for that.

Saito is good, but the Sox had to treat him very carefully early on, later on he got hit pretty well. For $3M a good buy, but don't expect Mariano setting up for Wetteland either.

I'm disappointed the Sox made no effort to re-sign him, I mean 3 million isn't that bad for a solid middle reliever/setup guy who could also close.

They have no bats and chipper is one year older. I do think this is a good move though. Wagner bad move... this though is a very good move.

Have Soriano and Gonzalez already turned down arbitration? I think I would have waited to see if they declined it first.

Sorry man, gonna have to take offense(no pun intended) there. The Braves do have bats and Wren fully intends on adding a big one. Post-All star Break, the Braves had one of the top offenses in the NL. Great thing about that is, we have just about every single guy coming back, plus the pieces Wren is bound to add. Not to mention, the best rotation in the MLB. The $10M we spent on Wagner and Saito is probably 2/3 of what it would have cost to bring back Gonzo and Soriano. We have a great 7-8-9 combo no in Moylan/Medlen-Saito-Wagner. It's a good time to be a Braves fan.

No bats....I believe they have the best hitting catcher in the NL and their shortstop ain't bad either. Diaz isn't too bad in Left field. Must have been dreaming this past season.

Best rotation in the MLB is pretty questionable. It's very solid and very deep, but I don't consider Vazquez, Lowe, or Hudson a definitive ace. At least nothing like we had in the 90s when we had two..

Disagree = bad signing; they now have at least 3 capable backup catchers.
