Draco, I don't know how to quote (pretty lame, I know), but just wanted to make the correction that between the two of them (Knicks, Nets) they won't have a .500 season because .500 would mean as many losses as wins. They could, though, have a win sum equal to 41, which is what I think you meant to say (a combined .250 Win Pct).

Just felt like being picky...

As a net fan I do hope that they have a horrible season. Its all about next year. If they have the high draft pick ...they have so many options next year. Yes im with Kidd got a problem with that? I prolly lit up your eyes when u read the word "Lakers." I still know how it feels to get owned by the Lakers . A healthy Boston and a who-knows-whats-gonna-happen-in-Brons-team would make it more difficult for you to make a return trip to the Finals. Too bad.

And PS--- dont even count on VC. He might show up in the regular season but thats it. Hes gonna do nothing significant in the playoffs!!!

they are awful, but it doesn't change the fact that they are set for 2010

they have a good young center in lopez, a great second option in harris, probably the first pick in the draft, terrence williams, courtney lee, and room for two max free agents.

they have a good shot in signing lbj. Even if they cant there are other good players in the fa market. They have good young players. dharris,brook,cdr,clee,twill.... they have the most cap space, and after this year might have one of the top picks... so they arent in as bad a shape as ppl thnk they are.

I'm with you on that one. I'm not going to switch teams like a *****. It's always darkest before the dawn. Next year, we will shock the world when we pick up Lebron/Wade.

The great thing about being a Nets fan is that we don't have to prove our fanhood. WE ARE ROOTING FOR THE NETS! Nobody can question our loyalty and fanhood. When you are rooting for a winless team, there is no doubt that you are a true fan.

At first, I hated that Kidd left the way he did, Juliano said, remembering the way the point guard forced his way out of town. But looking at the big picture, he was 100 percent right in doing what the did.

I agree. The summer 2010 is going to re-shape a lot of rosters and I think the Nets have done a great job. Their two best players are young studs at the PG and Center position and all the biggest stars of the upcoming FA play SG, SF, or PF. There are a ton of FAs and they are signing two guys. With a top 4 lottery pick and two good... potentially great... free agents I'd have no problem suffering through this as a Nets fan. I wish the Knicks were as set up for 2010 as the Nets were.

I think the Nets have a great shot at landing Boozer next year more than anybody else, he did tell friends he'd like to go there (there or Miami IMO) that creates a fearsome post, keep wall in the back court and you can still sign another star or get a handful of helpful pieces
