No ****ing way. I knew it iverson you weren't going to retire you just wanted some slight attention to catch some teams eye. Meanwhile i'm in houston averaging a career high, i really think i made a good decision coming to houston. I mean i got a nice little young core around me and i feeel like i can take my game to the next level. I mean i already got my ring all i need is some 20 point seasons and i'm all said and done. Oh wait i forgot we are talking about allen iverson.

what was that evreyone saw in ESPN?

well apparently, a local radio station in washington reported that AI decided against retiring and said that he would meet with his old coach from high school or college to discuss his future. They also said he would meet with Larry Brown for some reason or other.

you have to believe that if a team like the Lakers, Celtics, Mavs, or Suns called him up and offered him a contract he would gladly accept. That is if he has any aspirations to win a ring.

Is it just me or this thread fully based on opinion rather than fact?

Lou Williams is expected to miss eight weeks after having surgery to repair his broken jaw on Thursday.

This is potentially devastating news for Williams' owners, as he was averaging 17 points and more than five assists per game. Williams, who had his jaw wired shut, will meet with a nutritionist to help him maintain his weight while he's on a liquid diet. Jrue Holiday is the immediate beneficiary to the loss, while Willie Green and Jason Kapono will also see extra minutes.

Rotoworld

Would this be the perfect opportunity for Iverson to return to Philly?

They need a legit 2nd scoring option, and Holliday is just too raw right now.

Wow. Philly should def pick him up.

11-26-2009, 06:55 PM
I think it would be great for the NBA if he did go to Philly, but that all depends on how much they want him back. It would be a great story.

This would be a great opportunity for the Sixers. It would keep them in the playoff picture, while Lou is out.

I am not too sure though. It's all up to Philly management and if they want him back.

i'm not sure iverson would be a good pickup for them. They should either try and move dalembert and pick up a PG in the process, or let holiday start. Collison's playing great for the hornets when he got an opportunity to start. However, I know Collision is a couple of years older than holiday (who i believe is the youngest player in the NBA), and level of maturity differentiate the two.

I think they can be considered injured, young and bad. AI is a cancer at this point in his career. A great player, but incredibly egotistical and not willing to put the team first. There's a reason he was shipped out of Denver to Detroit, then got benched in Detroit, then signed with a terrible team (the only one that wanted him) and came off the bench, then retired because of his ego.
