Oden's pushing a nightly 12 and 9 in only 24 MPG. He also leads the league in FG% and is third in blocks.

It's not quite time for a lot of you to eat crow, but it is time for Oden to get some respect.

So, the question is: Has anyone's opinions changed regarding Oden since last season?

hell yeah, and tghose stats are taken his ****** 2-3 start game stats.

Oden is amazing this year. I was worried last year, I will admit. Oden has proven me wrong and will without a doubt in my mind be the top center or one of the top 3 very soon.

GREATNESS ONE

I am going to enjoy him filling it up on my Fantasy team.

He's been really good lately too, 24/12/2, 18/8/4 in his last couple. Averaging 16/8/2+ in his last 5 games. I'll take that any day from my C.

I'd like to see what he can do with more minutes, like 30+. Then maybe he would be the 20/10/3 type of player everyone expected when he was drafted. If he could ever do that then Portland has a great future ahead of them with Roy and Oden.

I won't love him, I don't roll that way.

Why isn't he getting more minutes?? He would be going off every night if he was getting starter minutes.

I will say I was one of the Oden doubters, but he is proving me wrong.

He is starting to show that potential everybody was talking about.

Well, he still averages around four fouls a game. Definitely some work still to do, but he's looking more like that #1 pick these days.

He's very good for rebonds and blocks, but he's pretty bad in offense,he has no skills.

Big Oden fan, but he needs to work on getting those fouls down.

5.9 fouls per 36 minutes.

It was amazing how much hate Oden received this past off season, at least half of PSD considered him a total bust.

Oden has always been fairly productive when he is on the court. The problem was that foul trouble took him off the court so quickly. I think that one of his biggest accomplishments is staying in the game to the end so often. Once he does that, his playing time will increase and so will his efficient production.

Don't think anybody disputed the guy's skills. He's a beast on the boards and blocks and has a solid offensive game. Still has foul trouble and 1/5 of a season healthy doesn't quite prove he has shaken the injury bug.

oden seems to be tearing it up and 12 ppg is quite good considering the poor guy had all those injuries and **** to deal with as a raps fan his progession reminds me as lot of bargnani's i mean he started off slow as well and average about the same 12 pts a game same as oden...but now bargs is at the point where he can drop 20 pts without even trying...i think its reasonable to think oden could avg 17-18 ppg next year?

He would be a dominant center if he could stay out of foul trouble... simple as that

The blazers would be a scary team if he turned out to be one of the elite centers in the league.. oden with roy and aldrige, not to mention they had some other guys off the bench that had some talent when I watched them play the warriors

yeah he's doing great lately.. Also moving around alot better. I used to be scared every game that he'd get injured, but he just looks alot more healthier..

he does need to cut down on the fouling a little, but even more so the referees need to stop cheating him with some of these ******** fouls they call on him...

I've been talking him up to anyone who will listen this year. Great defensively, cut down on his fouls, and in season he has learned to cut down on his turnovers.

I've got your back Blazers fans :p

My opinion of him has changed so far this year, he is looking a lot less like a 'bust' of a #1 pick. His numbers are impressive. I watched him play the other night and he stood out to me. Isn't he still very foul prone though?

always had respect for the guy. He just needs to find a way to stay on the court. If its not foul trouble its injuries. If he can do that, he would be a top 5 C in the league now.

he showed some offensive polish the three games i watched him play this season. imo he still relies on bullying other players. he's moving smarter without the ball and defending much better. i like his game but he still needs some polish. he really needs to learn that he should pass out when he's getting double teamed and to free himself when roy drives and draws the double.

he really impressed me last night. he did well.

I watched this guy in high school tear apart my high school team with Mike Conley. If Oden can stay healthy, he'll develop into the beast we all were afraid to see. Foul trouble comes with a big man learning the NBA pace, he'll get it down.

4 blocks last night...in the shot-blocker thread i predicted him to be the leader in the L by seasons end

Oden has improved alot. Watching him and Brook Lopez go at it last night shows me that the center position isnt dead after all.

Yeah, he was effective last year too. Still, he's gotten better this year and is improving almost by the game.

If he can cut his fouls down and stay on the court for 33ish MPG, the Blazers could be pretty tough.

Yeah Oden has been pretty good this season. Lets just hope he stays healthy and continues the good work.
