Jason Kidd moved into second place on the NBA’s career assists list, Jason Terry scored 27 points and the Dallas Mavericks shot 65.5 percent in a 130-99 victory over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

Kidd delivered seven assists to reach 10,337 in his career. He came in needing five to pass Mark Jackson’s career total (10,334), and now trails only John Stockton (15,806).

Good job. One of the greatest PGs ever to play. I have been blessed to follow his career from Dallas-Phoenix-Jersey and back to Dallas. I dont see him passing Stockton though. He needs at least 14 assists/game in 5 more years of playing. I dont see that happening. Hopefully, however, he does surpass Stock. :p

Its ridiculous to think how good of a passer and how long of a career Kidd has had and he won't even come close to Stocktons record.

GREATNESS ONE

Well, Stockton played 19 seasons, I think averaging 10.5 assists per game.
No way Kidd can go that far but good for him!

I agree that Kidd is the best of his generation. And hopefully he's an inspiration to the current and future generations that will bring along future greatness.

One of the very best defensive point guards to ever play this game. He was never known as a scorer but he did get the job done when it was needed. One of my favorite players to watch play with his smooth moves and sick-nasty passes. 1st Ballot Hall Of Famer without a doubt.

Remembered when he was still with the Nets wherein they played back to back the Pistons and the Suns. He shut down both Nash and Chauncey during those back to back. Nasty. And that was even after his arthroscopic injury.

J Kidd has always been a top 5 PG in this league. He could rebound, defend, and of course dish the rock. Gotta say though, in all these years he never learned to shoot lol. Good thing he's the 2nd best passer of all time (according to the stats people, get off my back lol).
