View Full Version : Gilbert Arenas Rips Teammates; Says they have "hidden agendas" against him

Fresno

Gilbert Arenas accused his teammates of having "hidden agendas" after Saturday's loss, which dropped the Wizards to 3-9.

Arenas mentioned that eight of his teammates will be free agents this summer. "I converted my game to try to get people involved, but at the end of the day, to be honest, this is the same team since three years ago," he said. "Do I have to go in attack mode like I was two years ago to get us over this hump? I hope not...I think the only person who actually had to sacrifice is me. Everybody else can just play their game." It remains to be seen whether this diatribe awakens the Wizards or makes things even worse.

:laugh::laugh:

The last guy who should even be complaining on the Wizards is Agent Zero Games Played.

He missed 2 seasons and collected about $40 Million from the Wizards while doing nothing but blogging, when he returned each time they struggled because he chucks.

Thats Gilbert for you.

He claimed he was going to let his on the court production do the talking, well he was wrong. His on the court production is screaming, and do you know what its screaming? "Trade Me".

Hes shooting 39% from the Field and averaging 4 turnovers per game. He had a 12 turnover game early this season also.

Gil is a joke.

Stop shooting it 20 times a game. If you do, try shooting better than 39%.

Most overrated player in the league. Not a team player. Not a winner.

The bottom line is that they don't play any D. That is why they are not winning games. Idk how my Cavs blew a 15 point lead vs them last week.

who gives a **** what Arenas has to say. He's not a factor for his team anymore, just another streaky shooter and another overpaid player.

what was gibert's contract again?

Where's KG?
11-22-2009, 06:24 PM
This is hilarious. I started a thread about if anyone thought agent 0 would get "hurt" or be "injured" soon. I knew something was coming, whenever the Wiz are losing,,,something akways heppens with this guy. That could be the worst contract in NBA history.

Gilbert is right about one thing though, they have always been the same team, nothing has changed that would make them any better.

maybe if he'd stop shooting the ball himself and distribute, he has antwan jamision, caron butler, mike miller, randy foye, andray blatch, and brenden haywood, that alone should get him 10 assists a night

They've gotten a little better, Jamison is just now healthy too.

But I don't get why people were predicting big things from this team. They've never been able to get it done, even when Gil was in his prime.

butler and jamison are wiz leaders.wiz missed haywood more than arenas last year.as a wiz fan i was so mad when they signed arenas so much money to a overated player.i really wish we could trade him get rid of his contract.wiz are just as good or bad without his antics terrell owens of the hardwood.

i can see the wizards trading gilbert arenas and then see gilbert arenas BALLING out of his mind like he did two years ago before he got injured and was prolly the second best scoring threat in the league next to Kobe.

hes just gettting back after not playing for two whole years and hes averaging 22 points and 6 assists. give him some time.

poor gil..maybe he shouldnt of signed his contract and maybe would have been able to play with hmmm any contender?!?!

good luck finding anyone to take that contract, thats one of the worst contracts in sports.

only way Wizards could move him is if they get Sh*tted on with the other teams worst contracts. but not many teams even have bad contracts that would match up cap wise for Gil

i still have love for Arenas. He can get to his spot anytime he wants.

I know his contract is bad but I don't think I know the extent to how bad it is. Anyone want to fill me in?

6 years $111 million, this is the 2nd year of the deal. I'm sure the Wizards regretted that contract right after he signed. Pretty safe to say they are stuck with him, I can't think of another team that has such a bad contract to trade back.

at least in 5 years it will be a huge expiring? :o

All flash, always running his mouth and never part of a team who got past the first round. Why do the Arenases of the world get glorified in American hoops culture...what happened to guys who work hard and know how to win...guys like Billups, Duncan and Paul Pierce are perpetually overlooked because they aren't crowd pleasers.

When a player is both a winner and fun to watch like Kobe, LeBron, Wade or Cp3...then you have yourself a superstar. But too bad there are so many guys on their talent level, like Arenas...who fail to grasp that talent alone doesn't make you a winner. It's takes a certain mentality...and a certain sacrifice to play winning basketball.

You always hope that at one point in a young NBA stars career they can flip that switch and 'get it'. Too bad guys like Arenas, Iverson and those guys don't see that statistics are hollow when it comes to earning respect in the league. Being a winner is coming up big when it matters...not with the amount of minutes or shots you get.

I'm getting sick of the prima donna athletes talking about a lack of respect. Want respect...let your game do the talking for you.
