Is it just me or is everyone sleeping on Douglas-Roberts. I mean I know the Nets have'nt been winning games, but Roberts is putting up some great #'s. Is it just because he's on a bad team? Thoughts?

He worked really hard during the off-season and he gained an inch and a half. His work has paid off and he is really performing even after coming back from H1N1 (and losing some weight as a result). Even as a Nets fan I am suprised, I thought he would be improved, but he is putting up 18 a game. His numbers will drop slightly when the rest of the team comes back, but I'm still suprised.

Dude was nasty @ Memphis.. a banging back-court duo w/ Derrick Rose....

I could him being a starting SG for the Nets or possibly playing the 6th man role(backing up Cort Lee).

I honestly think.. the Nets on paper. have a young talented team.. they just need to fire their HC.. dude's ******** it up as of late.

Nets haven't been competitive since the departure of Byron Scott(thanks to Jason Kidd.. scum bag)

CDR is pretty good, he looked good last year in the limited minutes he got.

The only problem is that CDR is a ballhog. He has made it pretty clear when he gets the ball that hes going to try to take his man off the dribble and get to the basket and score or draw a foul.

He is really putting up great numbers and I noticed it from the get-go

CDR has been a problem since Memphis. I wanted the Nets to draft him, and I was excited when he was. And now he's finally getting to show people what he's made of. Even though VC is my favorite NBA player, I told myself it wouldnt be too bad to trade VC, because CDR could step in and pick up where Carter left off. So that's why I was confused when they picked up Courtney Lee.

Hopefully CDR will continue to play at a high level and become and all-star.

Picked him up for fantasy. Good stuff :D

His stats are great, I think everyone knew he was a steal and should have been first round pick last year.

He almost fell into the Raptor's hands in that draft year.

he definitely proved a lot of people wrong. whenever i read articles on the Nets' young nucleus, they never mention CDR. he's definitely a much better player than C-Lee.

I knew he would succeed, he was built to score and his game is great for the NBA. He is also become a vocal leader and a the real heart of the team before Harris came back.

20ppg by his 3rd or 4th season for sure.

I always felt like him and Chalmers were the steal of that 2nd Round. I was actually shocked when he didn't go in the first.

I dont know if MIP depends on team success. If not then he showed be a lock for MIP for sure. He is converting 1 rpg to 5.5 rpg, and 7.4ppg to 18.3 ppg. wow!!!

11-22-2009, 06:51 PM
^ No one is a lock for anything this early in the season.

he was always known to have scoring talent. Wasn't his knee flagged come draft time? And he is getting major minutes for a team trying to develop so he found the right situation. Watched him at Memphis, and always thought he had NBA scoring talent.

I've liked CDR since his college days. Thought he was a steal in the 2nd round. Not suprised about his stats. He isn't getting any limelight though because of his team

nor should he. Al Jefferson has been shunned for the all star team 2 years in a row despite putting up top 2-3 big man stats. Wins do matter.

hopefully one day he'll decide to play some defense
