Is Scutaro big? lol then I say him.

I really don't know, I think one of the injured pitchers (Bedard, Harden, Sheets, duchscherer) will be the 1st to sign.

I think it's Lackey or Bay, the obvious arbitration non-Boras guys.

Out of that list, I would say Matsui signed for.. He'll resign with the Yankees..

Contract guestimate: 2yr 17mill; 8.5 mill a season.. Will be their starting DH.

well Jason Bay declined a 4 year $60 mil extension, so teams may be scared to go higher after he struggled toward the end last year.

John Lackey and Matt Holiday, I see both signing with the Mets, Lackey gets Bay's deal he declined 4year $60 mil, and Holiday gets 5 years $85mil with option for 6year $100mil

If Bay doesn't sign in Boston, I don't see how Boras gets less than 20 mil for Holliday. Therefore Boras will wait for Bay to sign elsewhere while stringing along Boston. Once Bay is safely signed Holliday will be bid up between the two NY teams and the Sawx. Eventually landing in Boston for 20+ mil.

I could definatley see the Mets doing that. They will have to if they want to compete with Philly next year.

I can see one of the two, actually it's almost guaranteed they will get one of the two, but not both. It's just entertaining watching the Mets try to compete. They have no depth and it's a pretty good bet they don't address that again and just sign a couple free agents.

Yankees will sign Matsui-he brings 15million in revenue-they can make money on him.

Did he? I dont think so, I know Bay rejected 4 year 60 mil from Boston, but I dont think Lackey would of past up that much, Cause even though its a year shorter isn't that more money than what Burnett gets 5years 80million.

you're right i thought i saw that it was for 4 years but heres the link:
http://fromthedugout.freedomblogging.com/2009/11/13/olney-lackey-turned-down-72-million/40707/

and for some reason the guy said isnt divisible by 5 but it would be 14.4 and if thats the case and the mets offer 4/60 i think the angels would match that

Angels sign Figgins first. Lets face it. Holliday, Bay, and Lackey are going to drag this thing out as long as possible until someone cracks and makes them a huge offer.

We offered him 4 yrs 60M...I don't think we'll offer him again. He wants at least like 5 yrs 80M.

It's going to be a bidding war for Holliday.

Bay resigns with boston
Holliday & Lacky signs with the Yanks
scutaro, Harden & Chapman signs with Boston
Damon Resigns
Matsui Signs with Seattle

Yanks won't sign Holliday, Lackey and Damon. They are committed to lowering payroll not raising it. Maybe Lackey but not Holliday.

I think he will regret not taking that, he is better than Burnett but this years market wont include the Yankees and Red Sox out bidding everyone. I stick with what my assumption is and if im wrong. Im wrong but I just cant see it being better

Yanks dont need Holliday, they will resign Damon as long as he's not got a better offer that would guarantee him year's rather than money.

The Yanks have the highest revenue in all of sports, they have plenty of money, payroll may be cut, but they are no way commited to make sure they dont spend as much money, and if a player like Lackey or Holliday are on the marker in a month from now and aren't getting money they think they want, Yanks will probably make a bid, and so will the Red Sox, even though they will more likely have a set team, they will make adjustments for those players

Hmmm, ill go with Vlad to the White Sox, just becuase i think both parties are interested and both have the same intentions in mind.

Out of that list, ill probably go with Jason Bay Red Sox or Holliday Mets.

you guys say the yanks dont need Holliday? where did i hear that before? oh thats right last year the yanks said they dont need mark teixeira because they got swisher! but a month later sure enough teixeira signs DEAL with the yankees! lowering the Payroll or the yanks are allways in it! you watch when Bay signs with another team the Yankees will hunt for Holliday so the rerdsox cant sign him
