View Full Version : Monta Ellis: I am a Warrior

Iíve realized that people are going to talk," Ellis said. "With freedom of speech, they can say what they want to say, but I wonít let it get to me and Iím not feeding into it. ...

"Iíve been saying since training camp, íIím a Warrior.í What else do you want me to do? They keep on printing (I might be traded), but I donít pay attention to it."

Fried, who also represents Andre Ward, will be in the Bay Area this week for the fighterís bout against Mikkel Kessler and will meet with Warriors management. Fried didnít return a phone call.

Riley said, "Itís not out of the ordinary to meet with playersí representatives." The general manager also has met this season with reps for Anthony Randolph and Stephen Curry when they were in the Bay Area.

"I donít know what the meeting is about," Ellis said. "Like I said, I play for the Warriors. Whatever theyíre meeting about, theyíre meeting about. Thereís a possibility that weíre trying to move somebody in when you all think itís about trying to move somebody out."

So was Kellen Winslow Jr. and look where that got him.

Monta will be gone by the trade deadline.

I just don't see how this ends without Ellis being traded. He'll always have that moped incident hanging over his head and management won't let him forget about it. Since Curry is pretty much the same player, it's time for GS and Ellis to move on to greener pastures.

I'm sure Garnett said "I am a Timberwolf" before he was traded to the Celtics. What Ellis said doesn't mean much to me.
