More surprising Record now: Atlanta 10-2 or Phoenix 10-2. Both teams have the best records in their conference and are the only 2 loss teams thus far.

How is it the Suns if they've been there before?

I honestly think, out of the two, Atlanta is the more complete team.

I would not be surprised if they found themselves in the Eastern Conf. Finals. They match-up well with almost every team.

The Suns.

They have been on the road.

4 home games, 8 away games so far.

I didn't think Atlanta would take step back, but would get better and take that next step towards legitimacy. Didn't think they would make such a big step so quickly, but I didn't expect the suns to be much more than a 6-8 seed at best. So the suns for sure.

thephoenixson28
11-19-2009, 04:36 PM
I think phoenix cuz no one expected us to be even close to a 10 win season by now. Atlanta also but I'm pretty sure everyone would be saying they would be having a better record than the suns.

Atlanta is a bona fide top 5 team in my opinion, so therefore my answer is Phoenix

The Suns zone has been flukishly good, every game gos down the same way. They bust it out in the 4th and teams cant crack it. They'll figure it out

The Suns have been playing some really bad teams and losing to the good ones. They're coming up in a stretch in early december where they play the Cavs, Lakers, Magic, Spurs, Nuggets, Blazers, and Mavericks

@ Cleveland
Sat 05 vs Sacramento
Sun 06 @ LA Lakers
Tue 08 @ Dallas
Fri 11 vs Orlando
Sat 12 @ Denver
Tue 15 vs San Antonio
Thu 17 @ Portland

The Suns... I am not that surprised with the Hawks because they are a young team who has young players like Horford and Smith that are constantly improving... They also have a superstar in Johnson and the addition of Crawford made them more stronger... They already pushed the Celts 2 years ago in a game 7...

On the other hand, the Suns' heart and soul is an aging Steve Nash... Who would have thought the departure of Shaq would culminate into an elite team... Nash is playing like he is 3 years younger... Amare is back and the addition of Channing Frye gave them more fire power...

Phoenix. Everyone had left them for dead and thought they should just start rebuilding. I still think both of them will fade a bit, though.

My thoughts exactly, everyone knew the Hawks were a young, talented team that would only get better with time. The Suns are the biggest surprise, because they're really the same team, minus Shaq. Nash is playing out of his mind, Hill continues to surprise and it seems like Stoudemire is beginning to set his ego aside for the good of the team.

The only true contender you beat was Boston. Hornets suck this season.

People should keep in mind that the only teams to defeat the Suns were the Lakers and the Magic... weird coincidence huh?... what's even weirder is that LA beat them without Gasol, while Orlando beat them without Carter and Lewis.

I would have to say that the suns have been more surprising so far this season. most posters on here (myself included) predicted that they would be a lottery team. Looks like the run and gun offense is back in Phoenix. I dont think that they will last long being the top seed however. they will probably still have a pretty high seeding but i cant see them having a record within the top three in the conference.

Atlanta i dont think is to surprising. they only ogt better since last year by adding crawford, who is a legitimate starter on most other teams, as their 6th man. its a tough call, but they look a lot better than cleveland so far this year. what do you guys think do you think the hawks will finish top 3 or better?

The suns early season schedule is F'ING bull*****. Sooooo many road games, up until i believe Mid-december the vast majority of our games are Away games. We have a solid team, and i don't think we'll be a 1 or 2 seed, but beyond that we're a good team and people underestimate us. We've been great in the 4th quarter, and have beaten some tough teams (even if some mav fans wanna ******** around that) and we've only been beaten on 2 back to backs against the 2 BEST TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE.

We've shown we can win on the road, and can play Defense...With that said, Atlanta has JJ, Smith, Al, and crawford, comparing the two teams, Phoenix is definitely the more suprising one especially when you consider how last season went for us.

Are those of you who voted the suns thinking logically? If I was to ask you this same question before the season started, you would give the same answer? I doubt it. The Suns aren't that removed from this type of record. The Hawks' record is the obvious choice.

Well seeing as how Atlanta won 47 games last year, got the #4 seed in the East and advanced to the second round, I'd say those people are thinking logically.

Both really surprising. I never would have expected ATL to look this good.... but it's still early.

As for the Suns, I don't mind them enjoying their stretch for now, I know they won't be a threat come crunch time.

with me, i wasnt sure if he would be able to come off the bench without much fuss.
i thought they would definitely miss Flip Murray if that were to happen with Jamal.

it didnt and the hawks are reaping the benefits

Atlanta has been a good team ever since they completed their starting five with the Bibby trade. They didn't lose anyone this summer and added Crawford, Teague, and Joe Smith. They should be very good. Phoenix had a down year last year, replaced Shaquille ONeal with Channing Frye, and had to deal with Amare injury/trade questions all summer. This isn't even close for me. Phoenix is the bigger surprise.
