They have Devin Harris right now running PG. Very good talent. Brook Lopez a solid young centre. Courtney Lee is a solid SG. Chris Douglas Roberts at SF. But the thing is with most of these very young players occupying spots, assuming the Nets get the #1 pick in this years NBA draft, with Devin Harris there, do they select John Wall another pg or do they go with someone else at #1?

If they get first overall pick I would trade it for a star player and use their cap space to sign a superstar.

If they had to actually choose between talents, Harris is still young enough and the real deal. Last healthy season is 21.3ppg, 7 assists, and 1.6 steals. But Wall at least is good enough that they can draft Wall and get a great offer out of it.

If you are the Nets, you go BPA.

why not have both? harris/wall backcourt, why is this a big taboo to posters.

but thing that should be noted the team with the worst record has only gotten the number 1 pick 2 over the past 15 years...something to think about

Thank you. John Wall is 6'4...he can easily convert to SG. He and Harris in the backcourt...

Drafting the best available player is always the best route to take no matter what your situation is. Make trades after to sort out your needs.

If I were them I would think hard about Derrick Favors if he decides to go to the draft after this year. Just Devin Harris, Derrick Favors, and Brook Lopez alone is a scary core group going into the future. Not to mention they still have Dougles-Roberts and Lee as well.
