From what I have been seeing lately. It really looks as if the talent and possible talent level at the NBA has reached a very high point.
We have the current:
Mega Superstars: Lebron, Kobe, Wade, Dwight, CP3
Then we have the superstars: Carmelo, Bosh, Durant, Nowitzki, Granger, Nash, Deron Williams, Brandon Roy, Pau Gasol, Amare Stoudemire, Tim Duncan, Paul Pierce, KG, Joe Johnson, Gilbert Arenas, Carlos Boozer, Billups, Carter, Al Jeff, Ray Allen, Tony Parker, Ron Ron, Rashard Lewis, Rondo, Antawn Jamison, Josh Smith, Lamar Odom, Andre Iguodala!!! So many studs in the league today

The thing is though, even though we have all these superstars ^^
There are up and comers in the league today such as the following:
Josh smith could be a superstar, melo could be a mega star, same with bosh.
Al horford is an up and coming centre, kids got talent.
Marc Gasol is actually looking like a good prospect.
Joakim Noah is absolutely solid so far..
Jason Thompson in SAC looks like a good player.
Bynum can be an absolute MONSTER.
David Lee is a double double machine
Russel Westbrook can be a star pg in this league in OKC
Same with Harden in OKC
Brook Lopez looks like a solid young centre in this league.
WE ALL KNOW ABOUT BRANDON JENNINGS DUDES A BEAST!!!!!
Bargnani looks like he can be a consistent 20 and 7.
OJ Mayo s getting better.
Bogut looks to be a stud in milwaukee this year.
Gallinari has been solid.
Tyreke Evans is gona be SICK.
Beasley can actually be productive.
Kevin Martin is a stud in SAC.
We know Derrick Rose is a good player, lets see if he can break out his sophomore slump.
Stephen Curry is a pretty good player
Devin Harris is also a stud.
Anthony Morrow down in tht mess in GSW along with Randolph.
Are there any really good situations in the NBA right now, the talent level really seems to be at a HIGH talent level point right now, there are other really good players that I didnt mention like RJ with the Spurs or Kidd with the Mavs..

Most of the guys you put under superstars are just stars.

MEGA: Lebron, Kobe, Wade, Paul, Dwight, etc
SUPER: Nowitzki, Roy, Durant, Melo, Bosh, etc
STAR: Gordon, Harris, Iguadala, Martin, etc
BORDER LINE STAR: Artest, Terry, Ginobili, Turkogulu, etc

While I'll acknowledge that Calderon can be a PG on a championship team, I'm not sure superstar will ever be within his reach.

Antawn Jamison, Ron Artest, Rashard Lewis, Lamar Odom, and Andre Iguodala are definitely not superstar status

I agree, I think he has all-star potential but not superstar.

Agreed. Iguodala may become a superstar though, and Kevin Durant will be in that Mega Superstar range in a couple years.

i think jamison can be considered atleast a star in not a superstar..i think he average 22 and 10 last year and iguodala in my eyes is almost a superstar but remains a star at this point

You don't see a grey area?

U guys really think Calderon can be an All star?!

Nope. No defense. Good point guard though but he is slow. i think he would deserve to be a backup AT BEST.
