In my opinion if they dont get another legit Scoring SG/SF there in big trouble. paul needs help. peja needs to retier and posey is struggling.

They need a new coach, because Byron Scott has lost all his credibility, actually he has lost his damn mind

And 90% of laker fans wanted scott to be their new head coach

I thought after that SA series a few years back they were a championship caliber squad......how quickly things have changed..........all I know is CP3 does not look happy with the way things are panning out over in NO

that is not a bad deal actually.

Freakin Randolph is getting his minutes punted for the guards on the team.

Paul needs more support. I like West and he fits with Paul. I haven't watched much of Okafor with them this year, but what I saw left me uninspired. Their wings are struggling.

Only player on that team that is playing with any urgency is Paul. I think a new coach and a new face on the wing would do the team wonders.

They're slowly playing their way out of contention.

CP3 wants to win now, but that's not going to happen.

Will CP3 want to get traded soon?

Steve nash,Amare,Jrich and a 2011 1st for Cp3,David west, and peja for the salaries to match up it frees up a lot of cap space not to mention we get a pg for the future and a legit pf.

Well we are switching starting lineups today, so we'll see what happens, Paul doesn't seem like the guy to demand a trade.

Yeah that playoff series was great. I was laughing because there are a lot of fans that would say that about their team/city.

Would this trade be fair:

Emeka Okafor
James Posey

FOR

Rudy Fernandez
Joel Przybilla
Travis Outlaw
Steve Blake

Seems like both teams would be better off

that would definitely be a trade worth looking into.. it would provide us with 3 potential starts for 1 starter and a good backup/ someone who can handle the ball in blake.. only thing that worries me is it really kills our offensive post presence..

Paul/Blake/Collison
Fernandez/Brown/Thornton
Outlaw/Juju/Peja
West/Songaila/Diogu/Marks
Pryzbilla/Armstrong

Even a great PG like Paul, or any great PG for that matter, will not make a sucky team win. The trend in the NBA as I see it right now is that ALMOST ALL POSITIONS ARE LOADED WITH SO MANY STARS. Agreed they should make a move.

this is horrible, but the best thing that can happen for that franchise is if their owner dies of cancer.

wtf?

he's a cheap *** mofo who doesn't love the business he is in.... sell the team or die of cancer and the hornets will be good...

chris paul is the best PG in the NBA... no reason he should have to suffer for the next 3 years... i watched kobe suffer with a subpar roster... it stinks...
the best players should be on the biggest stage.... chris won't ever say anything cause he's a class act... but deep down he wants to win... and George Shinn is not going to help him win.

I Am Awesome-O

I would love Rudy Gay with us! He can be amazing next to Chris Paul.

He would be the ideal kind of player to put next to Paul, but New Orleans certainly doesn't have enough cap/money to make him an offer this summer and they don't have any assets that Memphis would be interested in (other than Paul of course, but we all know that's not happening).

julian wright, collison and 1st for rudy gay and marcus williams would make some sense

Defense and assets to a team sorely needing both. Wing scoring for a team sorely needing that.

Saying someone should die to make a team better  just no.

please check your semantics before you make people panic cause you actin all frantic.

I didn't say he should die... I say if he died the team would be better off... i don't want anyone to die...

my mother died, i didn't want her to die, but when she died after a year long battle with cancer it allowed me to move in and live my life successfully.

george shinn has cancer, if he died , the team would be better off.... if marc cuban or jerry buss owned the hornets, the team would be better off.

why say that?? he's actually been pretty ok.he decided to keep the team in n.o. when all temptation was to write it off and just complete the move to okc permanently.he's had financial troubles and instead of selling off and go cheap,he kept salary high

for the construction of the team ,blame the gm

As far as a basketball trade this is probably pretty fair, but I don't see how the Hornets could possibly trade Chris Paul, the face of their franchise, for a rookie and a guy who cant ride a moped. It wouldn't be sending the right message.

NO is in trouble financially as well, there essentially in CAP Hell was well so they won't be signing any players to help put around Paul.
