if you hit it out of the infield you get 3 points. if you hit the wall in the outfield you get 6 runs. if you touch home plate with your left foot you get an extra run.

A "run" is the equivalent of a "point" in baseball. Whichever team scores more runs in a game wins the game. There is only one way to score a point: get around the bases to home.

for those who are freaking out about this guy asking a question like this.. STOP being so damn ignorant.

Baseball isn't very popular besides places like the U.S, the Asian countries, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.

I was born in Colombia, and when i arrived to the U.S i had no idea what baseball or football(american football) were. It took a while to understand some things.

It's like asking one of you true "americans" to tell me the rules of soccer, i bet you guys wouldn't be able to tell me half of the rules.

You wouldn't know the difference between a "direct and inderect kick".. So don't HATE on people.

If not I fell honestly really bad for him, because people here were jack-***** and couldn't just answer him in a nice manner.
