For me a team that im really impressed with is the clippers. Their 0 - 3 but they have been playing great, its just in the 4th quarter they dont play too well.

a player im impressed with is Jermaine O'neal. So far hes been great this season, his problem is staying healthy.

Although the Cavs have gone 1-2, LeBron really looks good. The one thing people knocked him for, his jumpshot, is looking so smooth and improved. He is a much improved jump shooter already, he's shooting 41% from three (7-17) and his mechanics look great.

Boston Celtics for the team and Ryan Anderson for the player...

Boston has blown out the competition in almost every matchup, but playing a true elite team (Magic, Lakers, Nuggets, Spurs, etc... yes I don't count the Cavs as elite) will show how far they've really come.

Ryan Anderson has been on fire since the summer league and looks to fill the final starting position available after Lewis gets back.

I'll continue the homer tendency of this thread...

Ryan Anderson has definitely impressed me. It's well known in the Magic forum that I haven't been the biggest Anderson fan (loved Courtney)...but he is the real deal. Amazing shooter.

In 24 minutes a game, he's averaging 16 points and 3 boards. He's shooting 550% from three (6-12) and 55% from the field. When he gets an open three point shot, he isn't going to miss it.

if i HAD to say who the best 2 teams are so far tho id have to go with

1.boston
2.orlando

He's shooting 45%, which is terrible for a PF. He also let Zach Randolph go nuts vs. him, a huge reason why they lost vs. the Grizz. His points and rebounds are great...but he's a big reason Toronto might finish in the bottom 3-5 in the East in defense.

I could name 25 players that have impressed me more than Bosh.

The Nuggets look really good because Melo looks like he's playing his best game. And JO is doing extremely good so far and i'm surprised. I didn't think he'll rebound as good as he use to, but he is and he's also dominating in the post. Hopefully he continues to play like this because for the first two games Wade didn't need to kill himself which is a good sign.

The Rockets! No Tmac, No Yao, No Artest and they won the second game of back to back games. I know it was GS Warriors but still. Then they just beat Portland which now makes the Rockets 2 and 1. Honestly it's still WAY to early to make that call for any team or player though.

yup. two games in a row. as a Rockets fan, i'm genuinely excited. i expected to average around 14 to 15 pts but 23 points on 50% shooting? crazy. hope he can keep it up. if he can...we really got him on the cheap for only 5 million dollars.

i already mentioned nash, but anyway i said before this year he hasnt slowed down, it was the offense running through shaq which hurt nash's game last year.

Nash will have a big year this year, something like 17 and 11

I've been very impressed with him and I hope he continues to play as well as he has. His game is based on three things that aren't age related, court vision, passing and shooting... The same reason why Kidd is still so effective.

They decided against that route, I never thought it would work the way their team is currently constructed because it totally eats away at their depth from the 4, when most of their depth lay in the 3 spot anyways, its counterproductive to start your best options at the 4 together.

Whats funny is that I came across this problem while playing a game of 2k10. Both Haslem and Beasley were tired, and I had noone to sub in but a bunch of 3's.

Rockets as a whole are exceeding many people's expectations. They've certainly exceeded my expectations, but I am not too surprised. Their role players have always been scrappy and capable to step up.

Brooks is playing great basketball, I agree. Jennings is more of a surprise to me than Brooks though; I did not expect him flourish the way he has so early. Brooks is still a surprise though, but we saw flashes of what he could do in the playoffs last season.

Omri ****ing Casspi.

Guy is a warrior, plays with passion and intensity every single second he's on the floor. He's one of if not the hardest working player on the team, his shot looks great, and he always seems to be in the right place to make a play.

He's getting 10.3 PPG in about 21 minutes off the bench on 58% FG and 44% from 3.
