Just because the Cavs haven't meshed very well in the first two games doesn't take anything away from them having one of the best benches in the league...

Delonte West
Daniel Gibson
Jamario Moon
Leon Powe/JJ Hickson
Zydrunas Ilgauskas

I think it's a toss up between the Spurs, Cavs, Magic and Celtics for the best bench.

Ok, well let me see... Three of their bench players have started for their teams for the majority of their careers (Big Z, Moon, Delonte) and the other three are all valuable role players that provide different things that are key to a second unit (Gibson brings shooting, Powe brings a high energy, undersized banger and Hickson brings a big body who can hit the mid range jump shot).

Powe wont be back for a while so you can't really count him yet. Plus you don' really know how he is gonna return from the injury.

I would say the Hawks' bench is better than the Bulls'. The Lakers have one of he worst benches in the league.

first tier benches are Spurs, Magic, and Celtics- enough said

2nd tier are probably: Cavs, Portland, Lakers

3rd tier: Raptors, Bulls, Mavericks, Hawks,

Ronnie P, one of CJ/AK/Brewer, Korver, Millsap, Kosta, Fez, harpring if and when he comes back...it pounds half the benches you mentioned

JasonJohnHorn

Nobody has a better bench than the Spurs. They got McDysse Ratliff and DeJuan Blair (the rookie out of Pittsburg that should have went top ten but dropped to the second round- he's been tearing it up), backing up Duncan and Bonner, and they got Ginobili and Roger Mason playing on the wing off the bench and George Hill, the sophomore, is probably the weakest link coming off the bench and he isn't too bad. They aren't deep at point guard, but their front court is stacked and they are solid on the wing.

Tell me you're kidding.

Compare both teams when fully healthy

FRONTLINE BACKUPS

Orlando - Gortat, Bass, Anderson > Sheed Davis Scalabrine

BACKOURT

Pietrus, JJ, J. Williams. Close call I think, The only two off Boston's bench that are remotely scary I think are Daniels and House. Tony Allen is terrible.

you're overrating the Jazz's bench dude.

AK is just a shell of himself now, CJ and Ronnie are just full of potential- but as of right now, that's all they are. you're right, their decent and i should add them to the 3rd tier bench

This I could agree to. Orlando doesn't have anyone that can quite provide what Sheed can and Daniels can be scary. But Orlando has more depth, so I guess it about evens out.

Any bench that has Rasheed Wallace coming off of it has to be the best...Celtics hands down. Not to mention:

Eddie House
Marquis Daniels

You may not like the Celtics but the reality is they have the deepest and best bench.

They put their bench in, and their bench takes leads on other teams starting units. I think bostons bench has scored over 115+ pts in 5 games.
