C: Dwight Howard

Reserves
Devin Harris
Derrick Rose

Shaquille O'Neal

Coach
Stan Van Gundy

West

Starters
PG: Chris Paul
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Carmelo Anthony
PF: Tim Duncan
C: Al Jefferson

Reserves
Deron Williams
Tony Parker
Brandon Roy
Kevin Durant
Dirk Nowitzki
Pau Gasol
Nene

Coach

I agree with pretty much everything except couple of things.

1 - Gilbert Arenas is Not a lock.

2 - remove Harris and put Carter in there - Harris' nets will be a bottom east team and I don't see any coach voting for him.

3 - Al Jeff is not a lock either. I see Pau Gasol probably making it or Oden/Bynum if they bust out.

4 - Amare and/or Nash probably make the all-star team over either Durant/Al Jeff or both IMO.

Stan Van Gundy as the Eastern coach!?! haha.

And I think Rondo makes the squad as a reserve this year.

Good list. Not much to argue with, except I see Carter maybe getting in, and it's hard to see Chauncey not in it either.

I didn't say any of them were locks... These are just some of the players that I think will make the team.

I was undecided with the PG spot in the east... If Gilbert is old Gilbert he'll get it, but Rose will get a lot of votes. I had Carter in there but I replaced him with Joe Johnson because Hawks will be the 4th seed in the east and deserve at least one all star. Harris will have a huge statistical year carrying the Nets and that will get him into the team.

If Al Jeff stays healthy I guarantee he makes the all star team, he's a 23 and 11 guy and the coaches recognise that. Nash is on the decline and I think Amare will be good enough for the all star team but he won't get in over Nowitzki or Gasol.

Where's Andrew Bynum:confused::confused::confused:

When he plays a full season at a high level he'll make it... Until then i'll take Nene and Al Jeff.

And I think Rondo makes the squad as a reserve this year.

By the all star break I see the Magic being 2nd in the east (behind Cleveland. Mike Brown can't be coach two years in a row). I think it's only a matter of time before one of Boston's big three goes down with an injury.

Rondo definitely has a chance of making it if he plays as well as he did in the playoffs. I nearly put him in over Rose, but then realised the bashing I would get from all the Bulls fans :hide:

Bynum might as well be a lock because LA fans are gonna vote him in

He wont get voted in, a coaches decision if anything, but that is certainly possible. I bet Yao still gets voted in over anybody because of his massive chinese following, even when they know he wont play.

I assume Yao won't even be an option.

shaq is too old and slow, he wont average all star numbers, i doubt him even averaing 15 points this season. maybe like 14.5, 8 rebs, 2 asit, 1.5 blk.. not really all star numbers.. i think horford might have a big chance.

Bit of homerism lol but i guess its an opinion. Dunno how people are putting Bynum in there when truly he has proved nothing.

Rose will make the allstar team but it will be the rookie sophmore game. No way rose gets in over guys like Agent 0 or harris. rose would have to avg 25 and 10 this year to make the allstar team. its all about popularity in the nba. And rose isnt quite there yet.

Hard to tell, but I think Bynum would make it over Nene especially if Gasol is out for while.

Probably, but I was kind of using a combination of how they played last year and how their teams look this year. Nene had a breakout season and will be a big part of Denver repeating their success and Bynum was injured a lot last year, although he looked very good last night.
