Smart man, Bobcats with the number 8 seed

10-27-2009, 12:29 PM
I don't see Bobcats and Pacers making playoffs over Bulls and heat.

10-27-2009, 12:30 PM
The Nuggets as the 8th seed, I don't see that happening.

10-27-2009, 12:57 PM
I like the Pacers pick.

Bulls at 11, Nuggets as 8 seems to be a stretch.

10-27-2009, 02:03 PM
Pretty good predictions... I agree, but I would put Denver as 3rd seed in the west and have Atlanta above Toronto in the east.

10-27-2009, 02:06 PM
Bobcats/Pacers/Pistons all make it but Bulls/Heat/Sixers don't???

Denver at #8???

Loses all credibility.

10-27-2009, 02:33 PM
how does the 5-8 in east all have losing records?

Chicago Bulls (36-56, 4th in Central Division)

How are the Bulls going to play 92 games this season?!?!?!

10-27-2009, 03:05 PM
Why oh why oh why does everyone have the Spurs second in the West?

They're not going to run the legs off of Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Antonio McDyess, Michael Finley and others just to keep pace with the Lakers. They know that as long as they're fresh, they can win anywhere in the post-season - that's why they've been cutting back on Tim Duncan's minutes the past few years.

The Spurs aren't playing for a great regular season, they're playing for the play-offs.

Good p redictions. Still I think the Nuggets will finish higher than 8th, the same with the Bulls and the Heat.

10-27-2009, 03:32 PM
How did he even pick the Rockets to make the playoff? And he put them over Denver.

10-27-2009, 03:35 PM

After many months of projections, it's finally time to unveil our official preseason forecast. They're based on our Win Shares projection system, with rosters/depth charts current as of Sunday, October 25, 2009. We used Win Shares to establish a base team strength rating for each squad, and then plugged those into the handy log5 formula and ran another 10,000-season simulation. What follows are the rosters (newcomers are highlighted in yellow), projected per-minute stats from our Simple Projection System, projected WS, the results of our 10,000-season sim, and my brief (200-words-or-fewer) thoughts on each team. So let's start the show, in reverse order, beginning with

some of you were really dropped on your heads as babies. "this guy lost all credibility " "how can this guy have the rockets over the nuggets :ohno:", "the spurs are a playoff team :bang:" sooo funny. this is purely a statistical evaluation of the season given the formula above mmmkay folks, not some primadonna news journalist talking out of his bunghole. READING IS FUNDAMENTAL.
