Portland by 25+. They are probably pissed the Rockets beat them last year without HCA and won by 27 in game 1 in Portland.

Portland by 20+ points, the Rockets are going to stink it up without Yao or McGrady in the lineup.

Just like the Rockets sucked without Yao and T_mac vs the Lakers in the playoffs. Portland wins but Rockets cover.

Batum is out for most of the season.....Webster will play starting SF....

I don't think anyone knows for sure if Blake is starting or Andre Miller will get the nod...

Word on the street is that Dre and Oden have been building some nice chemistry in the preseason.

battier is SG, ariza is SF.

Ariza is playing the 2, Battier at the 3. There was an article about the Warriors starting Ellis and Curry and Don Nelson said he would match up against bigger guards, citing Ariza, with a zone defense.

Ariza has been starting at the 2 most if not all of preseason.

The only thing I'm hoping for is Ariza outshining everyone, scoring 30 points and 8 rebounds, then Lakers will regret trading him B)

Lakers never traded him. They just chose to sign Artest over resigning Ariza, which I think almost any NBA GM would do 9 times out of 10.

Yeah i know, I remember in the playoffs when the Rockets were in Portland, Rudy Fernandez tripped over his own feet, and they called a foul on Brooks

i'm sure he will be by seasons end..........looks like it's going to be a rough year for my boys....we obviously lack size and playmakers.......i will say that I'm proud that we bring heart out there on the court though....but yeah, gonna be a long year.

We could have cut there lead to 3 with 2 minutes t go after they led 78 to 58 with 10 minutes to go. we finally started playing trap andpress defense. on offense we pushed the ball and attacked them.

All in all, i saw enough to think with a healthy McGrady, we can squeeze into the playoffs

I didnt see the game, but Brandon Roy shot 5 or 18? That doesn't sound like him...

I just got home from the game and I'll tell you right now the Rockets are lottery bound, Portland played like crap most of the second half and had way to many unforced turnovers, Miller did a great job in the second quarter but McMillian didnt play him again til almost the 4th quarter.

They only threw it down low to Oden twice and he only scored on a tip in. McMillian said before the game he wanted Oden to only focus on defense. I dont like that crap from McMillian, a guy can do alot more damage if you get him rolling with some easy scores in the paint. Oden dominated on defense bigtime, he had 6 blks and alters a good 7 more. Blake has no business on the court with a big like Oden, but Blake worked well with Roy.

Roy missed 3 or 4 easy layups and about 4 easy floaters in the lane, just rusty so dont expect that for long.

Roy didn't play good at all... he will bounce back though. he didn't play like his normal self and he kept trying to drive in , it didn't really look much like the roy i love to watch play. on the other hand, i saw little offense out of oden, but he was a defensive beast....
