who becomes the frontrunner for rookie of the year now that blake griffin is likely to miss the first 20 games?

or do you think that if he misses 20 games he still has a legitimate shot to win the award?

Tyreke Evans no doubt about it hes going to put up atleast 16 or 17 a game on the kings. his field goal % will be about 40% this year, but he has the r.oy. in the bag.

Didn't think Blake would win it in the first place, if he wins anything its the "Ugliest Player in the NBA". Step Curry or Tyreke Evans will take home the R.O.Y. Blake is a fantastic player but I can't vote for someone that ugly.

4 sleepers interested me a lot in preseason and I think we must have eyes on em: Taj Gibson, James Johnson, Nick Young and Dejuan Blair...but maybe not for ROY...

I'd say Tyreke Evans or Johnny Flynn...but I hope Griffin will be back in time to get the ROY award caus' he's too impressive!!!

I think and hope your right... Flynn will get a lot of the ball being the second option after Al Jeff and if he can improve his shooting and keep his turnovers down he stands a strong chance. I love how he plays and he can get to the rim at will.

im surprised people dont even think derozen is a sleeper, he's going to be given a chance at major minutes in Toronto, and with attention to players like bosh Calderon turkalu and bargs, he might have a chance to show his athletic ability off a bit (or at least im hoping as a raptor fan)

Based off of pre-season stats, this years rookie class is ballin.

Averages

Tyreke Evans - 15 ppg/ 5 apg/ 5 rpg / 31 mpg

Johnny Flynn - 15 ppg/ 5 apg/ 1 rpg /27 mpg

Blake Griffin - 14 ppg/ 2 apg/ 8 rpg/ 28 mpg

Stephen Curry has only played in 3 games, but he did have 1 impressive performance.

i honestly see Tyreke Evans and Brandon Jennings being absolute super stars in this league. like point guards in the class of chris paul and deron williams. I think Tyreke is going to be more of a poin guard in the mold of Gilber Arenas. kindof a 1/2 combo, but i see brandon jennings being a tony parker type player except a better assist man.

i could see jonny flynn joinging then too, but i think its more likely hell just be a solid solid very good nba player that is borderline all star every year.

as for stephen curry..i have no idea at all. hes been a terrible shooter so far. coach nellie says that he cant even hit shots in practice. so i dont knowll hold judgement on curry til i see more

and on top of that you didn't watch the game because it wasn't televised so you don't have an f'ing clue what you are talking about
