He will have monstrous, sky-rocketing stats. However, if they do not get 1st seed in the East, will he still win it?

Possibly because Shaq clogs up the lane and he can't get the same sort of buckets with him there.

Don't care who wins MVP. A lot more interested in who wins the finals.

Enough with these threads. I can GUARNTEE that any of those guys would rather a ring than fight for a MVP.

If the team finishes ahead of Boston and Orlando, then and only then does Lebron win it. I think Dwight takes it, with Kobe or Lebron as runner-up (Boston/San Antonio have no true MVP and Hornets/Heat don't win enough games for Paul/Wade to get it).

Because if he does get it, it will become obvious NBA is rigged. I think this is a year for someone less known

when the lakers win 75 games, he will not win MVP.

75 - 7 .

as long as there is no big margin (in terms of wins) between cleveland and the top team in the league, Lebron will win it.

why do people go in these threads just to say it doesn't matter what mvp is, it's only about who wins the finals or rings or whatever.

haha... this is a thread talking about mvp, damn, people gotta be party poopers!

i'd say it's really up in the air who wins mvp.. many good teams got good help, there's the obvious players from the obvious teams... there's also d.wade who could have won it last year, but his team didn't win enough.. right now i think it could be lebron just as much as it could be anyone else like, kobe, dwight, wade, pierce, kg, or a random guy who everyone is overlooking based on stats or thought before the season has started.

we'll probably have a clearer view about who can be mvp during the all-star break.

Because he only cares about gettin' that money son. He has his money, he won't play hard anymore.

there is nothing to explain he will win MVP

Essentially speaking, either player will for sure have to be the #1 seed to even have a chance at MVP.

Think about it. The only players for instance in the 90's to win MVP were guys that led their teams to the #1 seed in the conference.

Truth be told, if a team that won 66 games last year and had the best record in the league takes a step back while getting better overall, I just don't see how Lebron could win it again.
