Is he for real? A lot of people are drafting him as early as the 3rd round and I thought he'd at least be a 6-7th rounder with Biedrins and Murphy going around the same time as well. He shoots a decent fg% and ft% but will only get about 14 ppg with 7-8 rebounds. Why are people drafting him so early as if he is Pau Gasol when they could get fantasy stars such as:

Devin Harris
Brandon Roy
Ben Gordon
Paul Pierce
Vince Carter
etc

The key to fantasy seems like solid scorers early then decent centers later. What are your thoughts on Lopez?

He is in the top 30 this year and will likely be in the top 15 next year according to the measurement of his improvement. His stats also fall into that category if you look at them closely. Another reason why he's there is because of the keeper leagues.

I think he is real good, and should have great numbers, because the Nets actually shifted their offense to go primarily through him and Harris. That being said, he should have bigger overall numbers. I didnt take him in any leagues this year because he goes real early, and I dont think he has enough of a track record to invest that early of a pick in.

Yeah I think he's good but better than David Lee? I see him on the same level as Nene, Murphy, Biedrins though he shoots the best but probably doesn't get as many rebounds in which you want your center to do mostly.

I remember someone comparing his rookie stats to Dwight Howards rookie stats and Lopez had better stats.

See the thing is Brook Lopez got very good offensive game...and very good defense... pretty much complete package and he was only a rookie last season...

He shoots very good FT%

"He ranked 4th in the NBA in total blocks with 154 and
9th in blocks per game with 1.9, which was first among rookies"

He is now the focal point of the offense since Vince is gone...

He is going to get more minutes => better stats

Lee-- overrated ( only good under Knicks offense) so 10 ppg 10rpg

Nene-- is good but Denver is loaded with offense and defensively he is not that good

Bierdins--is ok, similar to Lee in run and gun system... so 10 ppg 10rpg. Mostly on the court to collect boards and put backs

Out all of these Lopez has the most potential, the best offensive game

I think overall he is solid but seems like there are better players when he is going off the boards...3rd is too high in my opinion

He is good, probably 2nd best PURE center but then I don't think he is so far ahead higher than Lee, Murphy, Biedrins, Nene/guys who are drafted naturally around the 6th round that makes him worth a 3rd, 4th rounder..If he gets around 17 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, then he definitely deserves the draft spot but I see him getting 15 points, 10 rebounds, 1 block...and that's pretty much what Lee/Murphy got last year.

If anything sounds like he will become a image of Garnett fantasy wise.

Man it is up to you who to pick... i needed points/rebounds/blocks/ft% so i went after him because he was the best center left since all elite centers where picked... and i spent first three picks on getting best available stars... so it was either him or Murphy... Murphy injury prone so the choice was obvious...
