IMO, Durant will be a superstar. He is an elite scorer, and he will only get better. He could be a Larry Bird type player if he improves his defense. I think the Sonics will bounce back this year and be much better. Do you think they will be sleepers?

About as good as the Washington Capitols, Providence Steamrollers, Toronto Huskies, Chicago Stags, St. Louis Bombers, Philadelphia Warriors, Cleveland Rebels, Detroit Falcons and Pittsburgh Ironmen. Your thoughts...

Had Washington in there already (Capitols), didn't feel like overmentioning any city.

Sounds like the NFL's Lions :rimshot:

Seriously though, I can't wait to see the Payton and Kemp connection this season.

I don't think they stand a chance against MJ, however.

You know what's sad? The fact that EVERYONE knows he messed up, yet everyone's making a joke out of it... And guess what, none of the jokes are funny.

Back on topic though, I don't think they will make the Playoff's - but Durant is improving day by day and it's good to see. Within a couple of years he will be up there with the elite, he just needs to work on his size and add some lockdown D.

actually seatle reserved the right to the name supersonics in hopes to oneday have an nba franchise again and they will be called the supersonics. you never know they could be back .. kinda like how charlotte had a team, lost a team and now have a team again, the only difference is they didnt reserve the rights to the franchise name "hornets" which is way they are now the bobcats, and new orleans are the hornets because they bought the franchise. thats why okc had to come up with a new name because seatle reserved rights to the franchise name.

Sonics or thunder can you guys just answer the question. I really love and enjoy watching the thunder play. IMO, KD wil explode this season and i see him as a/an MVP candidate. He should put up solid #'s. Also, they are very young and talented, i would love to see them in a couple of years from now being a title contendor team. Green, Westbrook, Durant, thats a young and talented squad if you ask me.

Wow, three pages in and people are still making the same "jokes" ...if you can call them that. Dude, hurry up and change the title or explain it.

As for the Thunder, they have some nice pieces in place. Having Kristic is majorly underrated in my point of view and they have an interesting option at SG with the Swiss guy (whatthehell'shisname?) and Harden. Not so sure about Green at PF - seems more natural to SF to me. Mullens is intriguing as well. This year though I see them as one of the better lottery teams which really is something about nothing. A couples years and they should be good.

I think this is the wrong situation to use the term, "bounce back". The Sonics(Thunder) are a growing team, and made huge strides last season. I think they just need patience and will soon be an elite team. If anything, last year was their bounce back season, since they shew signs of hope.
